Over the last few months I have been sharing my love of Skype. It’s such an easy way to stay connected. When summer hits a lot of families take vacations, go on staycations or do fun activities after work. For us, it’s always nice to include family who may not be able to be there. Whether we are hitting the local waterpark or walking around Disneyland it’s a great way to let those not with you share a bit of the experience.
Summer travels can definitely be enhanced with Skype. Whether you need to send a group text out or want to see your kids face to face while on that business trip, Skype makes staying connected easy. Check out this infographic on how moms stay connected:
I have to say I definitely fit into the statistics mentioned. Sure I can use my apple phone to see others face to face. However, not everyone I want to share special moments with has and iPhone, but 99% of them have a computer. That’s exactly why I love Skype, no need to worry about if the other has a certain phone, as long as they have a video camera and computer (or Skype enabled device) you can connect face to face.
Friends and family can experience the sand, sun and waves when we hit the beach being just a Skype away. When I went to Disneyland I could include my kids on a ride even though they weren’t actually there with Skype. If I am at the mall and can’t decide which pair of shoes I can Skype my favorite fashionistas and get real time answers…no I have not done this yet but since I mentioned it I fully intend too.
Skype is such a great way to stay connected face to face during the months of summer. We will be using it on an upcoming secret trip to let all the family see the kids faces when they are surprised (not telling what that will be here, just in case my oldest decides to finally read my blog).
Family reunions are popular during the summer months but usually there is someone who can’t make it. Thanks to Skype they can at least stop by for awhile. You can have a family reunion even if everyone can’t actually get together in person. Why not bring everyone together this summer with Skype.
With the video calling, instant messaging, voice calling, group video, group chat and so many other features, Skype is definitely a way to stay connected this summer. Share memories, fun times, and so much more this summer (and throughout the year) with Skype. Staying connected is so important and thanks to Skype it’s so easy to see each other face to face anytime no matter where you are!
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Skype. I received Skype credits to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
