As a mom one of the best ways I can get my kids prepared (and myself for that matter) for the day is to give them a tasty and healthy breakfast. Unfortunately, our school starts much too early so a hot meal (unless instant oatmeal) is usually out of the question. We have cereal, cereal, and more cereal for our early mornings. There are so many cereals to choose from, and while I don’t mind letting them have the sugary ones sometimes, I want to make sure they eat good for them cereal. Cereal that tastes good and is good for them. Thanks to Kellogg’s new “Start Simple, Start Right” initiative you are getting good stuff from seed to spoon.
We had a box of goodies from Kellogg’s arrive on our doorstep much to my and my family’s excitement. We were ready for some tasty breakfast that’s good for us:
Included in the box were the following cereals:
Kellogg’s Raisin Bran (a long time favorite of mine)
Kellogg’s All Bran (a new one that we were excited to try)
Kellogg’s Corn Flakes (one that’s made its appearance a few times in our home)
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Original (perfect for breakfast…or a certain yummy treat)
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Gluten Free (this one my husband was so excited about because he has recently started eating gluten free)
We’ve had a chance to try them all except the Rice Krispies Gluten Free and each one is perfect for our morning routine. The kids lean toward the Rice Krispies while I lean toward Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes and All Bran. I love adding blueberries, strawberries and banana to my cereal for a bit of a sweet kick. The new “Start Simple, Start Right: From Seed To Spoon” makes me feel good about what I am feeding my family.
Check out some more information about “Seed To Spoon” in this infographic:
I love that they are doing what they can to help keep the cereals that start our days fresher. It’s so important for me to know where our food comes from and while I am not super strict on ingredients it does give me peace of mind to see an initiative like this. What do you give your family for breakfast??
**I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kellogg’s. I received sample products to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.

Cereal is my son’s favorite breakfast.
We eat a lot of cereal in our home!! Yum!!
so interesting Love raisin bran
My kids eat cereal, usually mini-wheats with some strawberries. I also think it’s important to have a good breakfast thats not loaded with sugar giving them a high followed by that low by late morning. I eat old fashioned oats every morning made on the cooktop. I typically add some fruit, nuts and honey.
Luckily my boys love raisin brand and I can feel good about giving it to them in the morning
We eat a ton of cereal! Can’t get enough of it!
