Universal CityWalk
I’ve already shared all about Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Diagon Alley, the final post in this Universal series is all about Universal CityWalk. Over the course of 2014, CityWalk has been expanding to make itself bigger and better, some of the expansions to CityWalk include: Hot Dog Hall of Fame, Antojitos, Menchies, Bread Box, and Vivo Italian Kitchen.

Universal City Walk

Otherwise known as the entertainment capital of Orlando, Universal CityWalk is a place you can head to shop, dine, watch movies, indulge, and even get a round of mini golf in with some out of this world characters. We started the evening with dinner at Vivo Italian Restaurant!

Vivo Italian Kitchen

With fresh made noodles, this Italian restaurant is perfect for those of us who love Italian food. I ordered the chicken parmasean and it was delish! Well, the little bit I ate of it, because the appetizers pretty much filled me up. The spreads for the bread are divine, I could go and eat just that all day long. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Being Italian, it made me feel like I was at Sunday dinner with the family. The decor is modern and the food is divine. Definitely a must stop when you visit CityWalk

Universal City Walk Expansion

While on our walk we got to get a glimpse of Antojitos. I have to say I loved the colorful building. Entertainment from a mariachi band, will ensure you not only eat well, but are entertained while doing so! I didn’t get to taste the food there this time, but I will be back to check it out. Hot Dog Hall of Fame, Menchies, and Bread Box were all calling my name too (I simply must move to Orlando)! We did make sure to indulge in Cold Stone Creamery, another part of the expansion, after a long day in the park!

Don’t forget to get your shop on as you stroll. With stores galore, CityWalk has everything from Universal Studio stores to boutique stores. You are sure to find something you love. One thing that I am super excited about, that isn’t open yet is The CowFish where I will get to experience Burgushi! Burgushi items include sushi rolls created using burger components and sandwiches created using sushi elements.

Not only can you shop and eat but with a movie theater and the mini-golf, you can plan a night of low key entertainment. While theme parks age great, sometimes it’s nice to give that adrenaline a break (unless you are headed to HHN24, then there is no break for the adrenaline).  The night life, I hear is great, but we will have to wait for a couples trip to find out if that is true, as I’ve always had my kids with me! So, whether you are just starting your day out, or headed back from the park, make sure you make time to enjoy Universal CityWalk.
