I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Heinz Vinegar. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.
Growing up I remember watching my Italian grandmother pour vinegar into a bowl of tuna, I cringed a bit as I watched. Of course curiosity won out and I took a taste. I figured the worst that would happen is I would spit it out and never look back. To my great surprise I LOVED it and to this day I will get a hankering for a can of tuna with 2 capfuls of Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar. It’s a tasty treat and pretty darn good for you. Both Heinz filtered and Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar can be used in cooking, but one of my favorite ways to use the diluted version is to clean!
We all know how harsh some of the cleaning supplies can be today. What I love about Heinz Vinegar is I can use it to clean and I can let my kids clean without worry of them inhaling chemical fumes or getting bleach on them/their clothes. We recently had a little try it out session, cleaning with Vinegar and my kids were surprised that it worked so well. Our faucet on our kitchen sink gets so grimy and sometimes the reflection is lost. Then when we cook, there is not one time there isn’t something that gets splattered on the stove top..hey, messy stove tops means the meal is gonna be GREAT, right?
So we grabbed up our Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar, some water, mixed it in a spray bottle and grabbed a rag and got to cleaning. Check out the results:
I can see clearly now the stains are goooonnnneeee! Heinz Apple Cider filtered and unfiltered are good for more than just cleaning. Both are great for salads, marinades, and other recipes. You can also use the filtered version for canning (I LOVE sweet and spicy canned cucumbers). You can learn more about all the things you can use vinegar for over on the Heinz Vinegar website and see some recipes to try. Be sure to check out the Heinz Pinterest Page for even more recipe inspiration…I am really hoping to try the Heinz Marinated Chilled Shrimp!
What are some uses (food or cleaning) you have used vinegar for?
