Remember when you first started blogging and you just had to try to get on all the lists and make it to the top? You almost cried when you had someone notice your blog and gave you a much coveted AWARD. It was like winning an Oscar “They Like Me, They Really Like Me” (or maybe they just want a link back LOL). I was going through and cleaning up my pages on this place that is otherwise known as my second home and came across my Award page. I don’t have them all here but they were each dear to my heart, unfortunately I am trying to clean up some stuff so this page that let’s the world know I was loved by lots of someones is coming down. Check out these beauties…
As I looked at the awards bestowed upon me I though you know, that is what makes blogging special. Not the awards but the sense of community (though getting noticed was pretty cool) you get. Because usually behind these awards was someone who received it from another person, and that person got it from someone else, then you get to give it to someone. Sure, sure it was good for the ego but it was also fun to see the love. Yes I remember a day when these were cool.
While I am a grown up (loose meaning of the word) in blogging and don’t really do the award thing anymore it does take me back to a day when blogging was so simple you barely had to think. I wouldn’t change where I am at today. In fact, I hope to be like some people when I grow up even more in the blogging world, but it brings a smile to think about the good ole’ times. I guess it’s true what our grandparents say…times were simpler in the good ole’ days, but I would not want to be anywhere else today than where I am at right now
What are some of your fun/carefree memories from when you first started blogging?

Blogging was always a private thing to me. I never considered sharing with more than my closest friends and family. I took a while for me to believe that I had something to share that others would find interesting or useful.
Now, I do consider my readers when I write each post and blogging isn’t such a selfish, private thing for me anymore. It’s much more rewarding, as well!
Everything was simpler back in the day (says the pregnant 19 year old) – no surprise that it was so with blogging too as I try to take it to the next level.
Wow, those were the days LOL.
I wonder if anyone still does them.
My blog was so simple in the beginning! Just write and share! I think I want to get back to those basics. Of course, I will need time to resolve my family’s health crisis. But, after that, more basics!
I never really got into awards… mostly because I forgot to post them.
When I first started blogging I got a ton of these and thought I totally rocked. I know better now, but it felt so good to get them back then.
