“#AWESOME that’s all the post needs to say” my husband said to me. With that, I leave you all to go binge watch The Defenders on Netflix………
Okay, I wouldn’t really do that to you all but I will say you need to spend less time reading this post and more time checking out the Netflix Original “The Defenders” as soon as humanly possible. If you are a fan of Marvel, you will very likely be a fan of Netflix’s “The Defenders”. As always, there is no lack of action and there is a girl who kicks butt (which I always love to see)! Let’s hear it for Jessica Jones y’all! The Defenders are kind of unconventional heroes. “*Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist join forces to take on common enemies as a sinister conspiracy threatens New York City”
Watch as Jessica, Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage works together to try to keep their city safe. We thought The Defenders was very well written and the action was stupendous. We loved how the series tackles each character individually and as a group in a way that is much better than a movie could do. This series is one that women and men can enjoy together. Parents you may want to watch it first to make sure it’s something you are comfortable with your children watching because it is TV-MA. We are fine with our boys watching it, as they have watched most of the other series that Marvel and Netflix have joined together on.
As you gear up for The Defenders, you can take a journey to get there with the help of this fun “Track to Defenders”:
Don’t worry, they even have suggestions for other shows you might enjoy if you enjoy some of the aspects in “The Defenders”
If you like coming-of-age tales you might like “Shameless”, “Grace, and Frankie” (this show has me in tears from laughing every single episode), “Love” and “13 Reasons Why“. If anti-heroes and moral ambiguity is more your style check out “Breaking Bad”, “Dexter”, “House of Cards”, and “Narcos”. Love sharp humor and dark crime? Then you won’t want to miss “Friends”, “Master of None”, “Orange is the New Black”, and “Making a Murder”. However, if dangerous worlds and complex sequences are what keeps you interested then you will want to check out “The Walking Dead”, “Stranger Things”, “Black Mirror”, and “Amanda Knox”.
There are a ton of great shows on Netflix, take some time to enjoy some! Have a little R&R this labor day weekend and enjoy some great shows with family (just be sure you know which ones are cool for kids and which ones need to be after they go to bed”
