One of my favorite things to do is make memories with my kids. Whether it’s playing ball with my boys or doing all things girly with my daughter, it’s the time spent together that means the world to me. Recently my daughter and I, along with my mom and sisters, had a night full of fun planned. We headed to New Orleans to spend the night and see 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction in concert. It was a night that was sure to be full of memories galore (more to come in a later post about that)…what better way to get ready than with an at home manicure!
We decided to use Palmolive, to start our manis! Being a Palmolive user for years, I knew it left hands soft after washing dishes, but I didn’t think about it being the perfect way to start a mother/daughter manicure! To start you simply pour a little Palmolive into a dish that is deep enough to soak finger nails in!
Wait 5 minutes or so, then remove nails and dry. At this point you can push back and clip your cuticles, as well as, file your nails to the desired length and shape. Once you are done, take turns applying lotion and massaging each others hands and lower arms. Of course, we know you can’t apply polish with lotion all over your nails, so it’s time to wash hands, use Palmolive to remove lotion from hands and nails!
Finally, paint nails and allow to dry! Then go and make some memories with those beautiful nails and those soft hands! In our case, as mentioned, we headed to see One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer!
