Healthy hair is definitely something to smile about, but it doesn’t get that way on it’s own! We have to help it. Today, I thought I would share some tips I’ve come across that seem to work for my family, check out our shiny hair (myself, my daughter and my sister) in the photo above!
Tips For Healthy Hair
~ Drink enough water. Yes even your hair benefits from water, drink enough water to help keep your hair looking healthy!!
~ Know when to wash it. If you have oily hair you will need to wash it more often. If you are like me, and have thicker hair that is normal to dry, you will want to wait a day or a few between washes.
~ Get it cut regularly! If you don’t trim your hair regularly, it can break on ends and breakage means you will have hair that is all different lengths. Breakage can also make it look frizzier on the ends
~ Don’t overuse products. Too many styling products can be harmful to hair. I try to not use anything aside from shampoo and conditioner, on a regular basis, unless it’s a special occasion.
~ Protect it. If you are constantly using heating products (dryer, flat iron, curling iron, wand, etc) you will want to have a heat protectant to use.
