Like most families, we cook dinner at home. We love getting to spend time with one another, but I admit, this mom sometimes grows a little weary of cooking every single night. Not to mention the kids grow weary of mom always making them eat the things they don’t like. This is why, as a parent, I love being able to occasionally treat my kids to something I know they won’t complain about….McDonald’s.
It’s so nice to be able to go as a family and enjoy a dinner out. I know, not the fanciest place for a family dinner but the smiles it brings to my kids faces when we get to enjoy the occasional McDonald’s trip, is much better than any fancy restaurant. With a family of picky eaters and parents who aren’t always in a burger mood, McDonald’s has plenty of options to satisfy each of us.
I love eating their salads, the Premium Southwest Salad is my favorite. My kids each have their own tastes. Both my boys are burger lovers and with so many different ways to have a burger, they are definitely not let down when we visit McDonald’s. My daughter alternates between the happy meals, she is just like I was and loves those toys, and the Hot ‘n Spicy McChicken. That’s what I love about McDonald’s, there are many choices and I get to sit down and enjoy a meal, with my family, without cooking it every once in awhile.
Our local McDonald’s is always a fun visit, because they have a little bar area, that has touch screen computer games. My kids are big into games and I love that the games they play at our McDonalds keep them using their minds. The trivia games are their favorite and with topics like literature, history, math and more, they can have fun and learn while waiting for their meal (or waiting for me to finish, as I seem to be the slowest eater in my family). If you visit the McDonald’s in Destin, you will find a bit higher class fun, they have iMacs in that location. With outside seating available at both, on nice days my kids enjoy being able to eat out in the open!
With so many options for food from Fruit ‘n Yogurt Parfait and salads to burgers and chicken sandwiches, McDonald’s is a great place for families to have the occasional dinner. At prices that won’t break the bank, it’s nice to take a night off from cooking and just enjoy time with my family. What is your favorite food or drink to eat from McDonald’s?
