I CAN NOT WAIT FOR MALEFICENT!!!
Yes, I wrote that in all caps because I think this may be the Disney movie I am MOST looking forward to this year…which means watch out for bukoos of Maleficent talk over the coming months! I love Angelina Jolie, she is an AMAZING actress and every time I see a commercial (or watch for the 1000th time on youtube) a trailer for Maleficent, I get chills and squeal like a little girl!

Seriously, the story of Sleeping Beauty, told from another point of view. I kind of LOVE Angelina in the new poster. I think I may have to mimic this getup for Halloween this year. I am not only excited about the movie, but also excited to announce that you can now follow @Maleficent on twitter. “Maleficent” explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty” and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.
The film stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville. “Maleficent” is produced by Joe Roth and directed by Robert Stromberg, with AngelinaJolie, Don Hahn, Palak Patel, Matt Smith and Sarah Bradshaw serving as executive producers. Linda Woolverton wrote the screenplay.

Disney definitely never lets us down – and I think it’s great they are doing a twist and a different type of story then the classics (not that I don’t love them). Watching from the ‘bad’ guys point of view and getting a bit more of the story is awesome. I can’t wait to see this either!

This sounds like an interesting movie. It’s very different from what’s currently out there. I think Angelina Jolie will be perfect for this part!

I saw this preview when we went to see Catching Fire. It looks a little scary. I know I will like it, but I’m not so sure I’ll be taking my five-year old just yet to see it.
