The holidays are a time I really like to have special touches in my house. One of my kids favorite “touches” are fresh made baked goods. It makes my house smell divine and just feel like it’s holiday time. My kids know the holiday season is here with my crazy amount of baking that goes on. Pies, cookies, cakes, and so much more. There is just something about a house full of baked goodies and the yummy smells that make my home feel like the holidays are here.
Speaking of smells, another way I add a little extra special touch is by adding candles and smell good scents to different rooms. I LOVE when the holiday season arrives because it means the special scents come out.

- Continual Coffee. With all the special flavored holiday coffee, it’s a good time to keep a pot going throughout the day for friends and family. It’s perfect with those cookies, pies and cakes.
- Fresh Flowers. I love to play with fresh flowers and get bouquets that look like the current season. Think oranges and yellows for Thanksgiving, white, red, and green for Christmas. Not only is it beautiful to see a fun floral arrangement, it is another way to add yummy scents to my home.
- Kids Projects. During the holidays, at school, my kids tend to do a lot of projects. I love to display these for guests to see.
My house is a home and I want it to feel lived in and inviting. I want it to smell lovely and leave people wanting to stay longer. I love knowing my friends and family leave with memories and moments that will last until the next time we make some.
