Keep Connected With A College Care Package

Care package

It’s a big world they head off to when they go to college, why not send them with a care package that can help them adjust to life on their own! I know when I was on my own, I didn’t realize how many things my parents bought for me. So it’s small things, they may not think of, that will mean the most and help them to remember what to stock up on when they are out. Here are a few things ideas for your child’s college care package!

Schick Xtreme3

Razors! They are a must. We don’t want our girls (or boys) to become a hairy monster while away at college, so picking up a package of Schick Xtreme3 disposable razors at Walmart, is an excellent way to make sure they stay clean shaven!

Aveeno Lotion

Whether they are going to school in a state known for cold weather or a state where the sun bears down on them, keeping skin moisturized is important. We love oatmeal based lotions, so that is going in my daughters college care kit.

Hair Care

Sticking with the personal care, why not give them their fist bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Always wanting to make a good impression, hair washing is a must. You can pick up the run of the mill hair care, but personalized shampoo and conditioner ensure they get the right care for their hair. Go ahead and treat them to something a little out of the ordinary!

Snacks! Snacks are a must. Whether they are up late cramming for a test or just between meals, they need healthy snacks to keep their energy up! We will be sending ours with granola bars, lots of granola bars!

Possibly some of the most important items you can send with your child are a pen, stationary, and a journal. College is going to be so full of memories; they should write them down. In a journal for a keep sake, something to look back on and remember each day! Of course, we don’t want to be left out of the memories, so picking up some stationary, hopefully, will ensure that they keep you in the look with a hand-written note. Sure texts are excellent, but there is just something about receiving a hand-written note from your child that means the world.

A few other things you might want to include in your College Care Kit are:

Starbucks Gift Card
Dental Floss
Their favorite stuffed animal!

The best part is, aside from the stuffed animal, you can get most of the items at Walmart. Get all the school supplies and college care kit supplies at one. It’s definitely not going to be easy when my kids head off to college, for any of us, but as the mom I want to make their adjustment a little easier, and that means sending them with all they need to get started! What are some things you would put in a college care kit?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Schick®. The opinions and text are all mine.
