Hilton Garden Inn LA Hotel Review #BraveCarsLandEvent #Travel

It’s been exactly a month since I headed to California for my whirlwind #BraveCarsLandEvent. The event was so much fun and would not have been possible without the graciousness of the first hotel we stayed at. So before I continue I would just like to say a great big Thank You to the Hilton Garden Inn in LA. Located very close to the heart of LA, the Hilton Garden Inn is definitely a hotel you will want to consider when booking your next trip to the area.

When you first walk in you are greeted with bold, inviting colors and a modern theme.  With comfy couches and chairs for guest to sit on and visit you may never want to leave the lobby.   The Hilton Garden Inn is great if you are there for business or pleasure.  Before heading to my room I glanced around a bit to see what else the hotel had to offer.  I noted two restaurants, The Great American Grill and The Pavillion Lounge.  The Great American Grill had a wonderful cooked to order breakfast (I tried it the second morning) along with some of the normal continental breakfast offerings.  The waffles were fluffy and perfectly cooked and they even had smoked salmon which I had while I waited for my waffle.  The Pavillion Lounge is a great little area to go have a drink with some friends, you can also order off the menu.  I tried their shrimp cocktail and salad, both were very good.  With soft light, a bar and tables it’s a great area for winding down your day.

If you need a bite while you are in your room, you can head down to the Pavillion Pantry which stocks snacks that are perfect for late night munchies.  They offer chips, candy, drinks, microwavable meals and basic necessities such as tylenol.  It’s open 24 hours so no matter what time of day it is you can grab something.  Room service is also offered  but it is only in the evenings starting at 5:00 pm.  That’s the only thing I wish had been different because I was STARVING when I got there but it wasn’t open yet, thankfully the Pavillion Pantry was so I grabbed a snack before we headed to dinner.  The next night I did order a cheeseburger and clam chowder and it was wonderful.  Room service did not let me down.  I scarfed down the chowder as I got ready for our Green Capet Event and saved the cheeseburger for my light night snack.

Aside from restaurants they also offer a business center for those who don’t want to travel with their laptops. They have a fitness center so you can keep on schedule with your daily work out.  They have a laundry service so you can keep your clothes clean and pressed.  As well as valet parking (no self parking here) for $30/day.  The pool/hot tub area was set behind the hotel and had it’s very own HOLLYWOOD sign (a miniature of the real one).  A few of the ladies and I made time to hit the hot tub before we headed to the premiere.  I love a good hot tub soak, after experiencing California weather it was time to head back to my room.  There was so much to do outside of the room but I have to say the room was my favorite part….

The room was so inviting.  With a king sized bed, a lovely desk, 37 inch TV, dressing area, bathroom, microwave, mini-fridge, sitting area, coffee maker, hair dryer I could have stayed in the room for days.  I had a wonderful view of the pool, “hollywood sign” and the amazing houses on the hill.   I had the chance to use the coffee maker for some afternoon energy while I worked at the desk.   After long days, all I wanted to do was crawl into the bed and watch some television until I fell asleep, however I will be the first to admit I am so picky when it comes to beds.   Would this bed leave me feeling refreshed or keep me from sleeping?  The Serta Perfect Sleeper Bed was just that…perfect.  I felt like I was sinking into a cloud (which is my favorite kind of bed).  I didn’t want to get out when it came time to get ready each morning, that’s definitely the sign of a good bed.

The rooms were clean, modern and roomy.  The staff was friendly and welcoming.  The food was tasty. The amenities were pluses added on to an already great hotel.    It’s walking distance from main tourist attractions like the walk of fame, Graumans theater, Hollywood United Methodist (where Sister Act, Back To The Future, People Like Us had scenes at), Hollywood Bowl and of course Hollywood & Highland Center.  Hilton Garden Inn LA definitely gets A Daily Dose seal of approval!  If you are ever in the LA area I highly suggest booking your stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in LA.
