Glad is a name that is trusted in our home to keep up with the never ending demands of trash. When trashing something the last thing I want is for my bag to rip or drip on the way out to the trash can. That’s why my family is a big fan of Glad black force flex bags. We tend to stuff (and by stuff I mean over stuff) our bags until they can literally hold no more and when I have used other brands that has left me a mess to clean. This mama is not happy when there are drips and rips resulting in “yuck” all over the floor, so stick to Glad Bags (the force flex) we do. I have yet to personally have an incident when I used them*. They are a staple in our house and will be for the forseeable future.
Not only is Glad saving my floors and my sanity, they are also saving trash..for art. I can picture you shaking your head thinking…trash/art…together??!! That’s exactly what they are doing with the Recycled Art Auction going on right now until April 26. Check out these amazing works of art being auctioned in the Glad Art Auction:
Can you believe those art pieces are made out of trash? The Picker Sisters have teamed up with Glad to show that trash can really be turned into treasures with the Keep America Beautiful initiative. This initiative is a great way to teach our kids that if they look something they may think is trash can be used to come up with something that will be a treasure to them or someone else. Working with artist, Jason Mecier, we get to see first hand the beauty of using items like buttons, cds, butter lids, pencils, scissors, and so much more (see photos above) to make art. Who knew? These pieces are being auctioned right now (through April 26) and proceeds will go to benefit Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup. Fun art for a great cause.
So next time you get ready to throw something away, stop and consider that it could be part of your next work of art! If you do end up throwing it away, go with Glad, I bet you’ll be glad you did!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Glad Black Bag and received a Glad Black Bag product and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate. I was also asked to “pin” one (1) Glad Black Bag Art Auction photo on Pinterest.
