Summer has been in full swing for us, for a few weeks now. We are counting down the days until our annual 4th of July get together. Every year we do an array of things and thanks to Capri Sun, we get to add a little extra fun into the mix. Because my mom was born on July 4th, we always celebrate her birthday. I love to make special treats like my…
Patriotic Dirt Cups (recipe here)
Or this Star Cake
Both are perfect for July 4th get togethers. While food is a big part of the fun, this Fourth of July, we will head to the beach for a bit with family and friends, as in years past! It’s so nice to be able to go for a few hours on Independence Day!
After some fun in the sun, we will head down to the fish camp, my parents have, to have some more fun with the goodies Capri Sun sent to us! Passing the time until the fireworks show!
We have a ring toss, kite, bubbles to blow, chalk paint to have fun with, and of course popsicle to make! So, there will definitely be lots of memories made this year and Capri Sun will be right in the mix of it. The kids are excited to make Capri Sun popsicles; this mom loves the portability of Capri Sun pouches. They go easily from home, to the beach, to the fish camp and are perfect for get togethers. The pouches make for fewer cleanups (no cups to wash) and that makes this mom very happy!
Plus, I don’t feel guilty about making Capri Sun part of our activities because Capri Sun has taken the concerns parents had, and are dealing with them. They started replacing high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) with sugar in the original line of Capri Sun Juice Drinks. Plus, Capri Sun Juice Drinks have 35% less sugar than other leading juice drinks. **This product has 13g sugars; leading regular juice drinks 22g sugars per 6 fl oz serving.** They are also replacing sucralose with stevia left extract and HFCS with sugar in its Roarin’ Waters Flavored Water Beverages. Taking more than 25 billion calories out of the marketplace annually! So, I can feel great giving this to the kids (and adults) at our party.
In the end, our Fourth of July will be filled with memories to last a lifetime. Family, friends, food, and fun, that’s what we have planned for our Independence Day (and mom’s birthday) celebration!
What are your July 4th plans?

We bought a bunch of Fireworks between all of the family, so we will be gathering at my brothers house since he has a huge backyard, and also we are having a cookout too. We can’t wait for the fireworks, always a favorite holiday of mine. The ring toss game reminded me i need to dig out the horse shoes for the yard.
I love the On this Star Cake! It looks delicious. I am going to the Lake and having a picnic with my family, and it will be so much fun! We love Capri Son and have been drinking it for years! It is easy to take and put in the ice cooler. I hope you have a nice 4th of July!
