I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassador program and have been provided with a wireless device and 3 months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product. For more information head to http://tiny.cc/VZWA as well as my personal disclosure.
The little gem above has been my other child for several months now and I have to say overall it’s actually grown on me. Much different than my iPhone when it comes to operating systems it doesn’t lack for much as far as usage, web browsing, photo taking, and all that is concerned. While I would like to see the app selection grow I have been seriously impressed with how easy to use the Blackberry Z10 over the last few months.
Probably my favorite feature (outside of the social networks I can get on) has been the Blackberry Hub. It was my all in one stop to get to everything from emails to social network updates. I was pretty impressed with the camera quality for a phone, though felt my current phone still took better photos from the rear camera. I also loved the fact it got a few seconds before when you took photos so if someone blinked you could usually get a good shot anyways.
Blackberry Messenger is something that comes in handy with other blackberry users but with a market that is full of apple users within my networks I found myself using the text function more. The battery life seemed to be not up to par compared to my current phone. I did have to recharge several times a day if I was constantly using it.
The call quality was great and I seemed to not lose service in areas where my current provider did. The web browsing lived up to and sometimes surpassed that of my current phone. Of course, I loved the hotspot feature. With my current phone I have to connect it through a cord, with the hotspot feature I could connect wirelessly which made for easier connecting on the road. It’s so nice to be able to get work done while on a road trip (not driving of course).
Overall, I was impressed with the blackberry z10 but for now I will be sticking to my current phone. Only because it seamlessly syncs with all my other apple devices and computers. I definitely thing the Blackberry Z10 is a great way for those who aren’t addicted to apple to go, it’s got a great interface and the ease of use makes it worth trying. Not to mention the price tag isn’t too bad either.
Would you consider using the Blackberry Z10?
