When you go through the gates, you are transported through a jungle like adventure. What lies behind the gate and past the trees is pure luxury! When I was invited to head out to the Grand Velas Riviera Maya Resort, I was ecstatic, as I had never been to an all-inclusive resort before. Little did I know the luxuries that awaited myself and my best friend. To say we had an amazing time doesn’t even seem adequate, it was so much better than amazing…I would say phenomenal! Today I am going to share a few of the reasons you MUST consider heading to the Grand Velas Riviera Maya Resort for your next vacation!
The Accommodations
At the resort, you will experience luxury beyond belief. There are three different areas to the resort: The Exclusive Grand Class, The Ambassador, and The Zen Grand Section. Each area is beautiful and offers rooms like none I have ever seen. While I was there I had the chance to stay in the Exclusive Grand Class and this is by far the most spacious of the rooms, with 1300+ square feet! They are all ocean front and offer luxury at its best! This is also the adults only area of the resort (pool included). They do allow teens 12 and older, but no little ones! Check out the digs I had for the time I was there.
Now if you have children, do not fret, there are two other sections to the resort that are open to all ages! Here are a few pics of the Zen Grand Section and The Ambassador suites:
The pools in each section are simply, to die for…or to relax in…that’s just what we did! We were all smiles the entire time we were there!
The Food
I don’t know about you, but the food is one of my favorite parts of a trip. I could eat my way through any country. In fact, my awesome rep, was cracking up at me constantly talking about the food (it must be the Italian in me). With 8 restaurants, 6 bars, in suite dining, and in suite mini-bar, there is no lack of food or drink…and the best part is, it is all included! Now it’s time for me to make you drool, it’s fun to talk about food but it’s more fun to see it:
Fitness In Paradise
While vacation is usually about relaxing, some people want to bring their fitness routine along with them and thanks to the gym at the resort, that is entirely possible. But if you want something a little more fun, make sure you sign-up and book during the Louis van Amstel, you might know him from a little show called “Dancing With The Stars”, La Blast Fitness Retreat. It’s a great way to burn those calories and have fun while doing it!
Fun and Relaxation
There truly is fun for all ages here. As if hanging on the beach and by the pool is not fun enough. The Grand Velas Riviera Maya has a Kids Club, so when parents want a few hours to themselves, they kids can have a blast too!
Of course, teens like to do their own thing, which is why the Teen’s Club is perfect for them. Filled with pool tables, flat screen, gaming nooks, foosball tables, and even their own bar, to order non-alcoholic drinks while they enjoy time with friends! To be honest, I thought I might just hang there myself, it was pretty darn amazing!
While the kids are away, take time to yourself and enjoy the spa. With so many services, you are sure to walk out much more relaxed. Massages, nail services, hair services, body scrubs, facials, couples services, and so much more. The spa was amazing….even if you just by the Water Journey and nothing else, I say visit the spa while you are there. They even have a fish feet station…
You can also add on extras like cooking classes (for a fee), which we had a chance to do. It was so much fun and I enjoyed learning how to create some of that beautiful food you see above!
In the end, it’s all about you. Do as much or as little as you like! That’s what I loved about this resort. I could eat as much as I wanted, relax, enjoy the surroundings and just have 4 days worth of memories with my best friend. Unless you book an excursion, the spa, buy at the boutique, or just a few other select non-included things, you know how much you are spending from the time you book your trip. Tip and everything is included and not having a care in the world, is what makes vacationing at the Grand Velas Riviera May perfect. Okay, so maybe being surrounded by these views play a part in that too!
Be sure to check out Two Traveling Moms in the coming weeks as I’ll be sharing photo posts so you can see more of my photos from the trip!
Have you ever stayed at an all-inclusive resort??
**I was invited to visit the resort and most expenses were paid. All opinions are my honest views and experiences**

I love that they have the different sections for people with or without kids.
