Dolly Parton did it right with Dollywood and Dixie Stampede y’all! Pigeon Forge is probably best known for it’s beautiful surrounding mountains. Though, when we aren’t talking about nature probably one of the first things that comes to mind when you thing of Pigeon Forge, is Dolly Parton and the empire she has built in the area. A theme park, dinner show and a water park to just name a few boast fun for the entire family when you vacation in Pigeon Forge, TN.
While at Brandcation I had the chance to spend the day at Dollywood and it was so much fun. Everything from the food to the rides, the crafts to the show just made it a place I would love to take my family back to visit.

See! The minute I walked in I was thrilled. We were treated to some goodies from the bakery and trust me when I say you will want to share!!! The cinnamon roll I got was bigger than my head, my family of 5 could have easily shared that. After noshing on some sweets we explored the park. Showcasing crafts, rides, and just so much that you will have a blast, this park is great for the adults and kids both. While there we got to ride the Wild Eagle and be filmed for a show on the Discovery Channel…so watch for me! We ate good ‘ole home cooking and just had a great time taking in the beauty of the park. The decor alone, is worth making sure you scour every inch of this park. Truly, Dollywood is somewhere you will want to make time for when you are in Pigeon Forge.
Another place you will want to make sure to schedule in is a trip to Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede.

A dinner show that is filled with the north competing against the south (and you will want to be sure to root your team on), horse riding stunts, singing, awesome effects, and of course a dinner to keep your belly full. Plan on arriving 50 minutes before the time of the show so you can catch the fun pre-show that will have you clapping your hands or slapping your knees. While you watch the show you will eat a dinner of soup, veggies, meats and dessert…all to be eaten with your hands! You will find yourself cheering your team on, holding your breath during the amazing stunts, and laughing.
This show is perfect for the little ones as well as the more mature crowd. Don’t forget to take your group photo before heading into the show so you have something to document the night with. Get ready for some hoot ‘n hollerin’ fun at Dixie Stampede, us Brandcation girls had a blast!
If you are looking to do both while you are in Pigeon Forge, I would suggest doing Dixie Stampede the night before and Dollywood the next day, that way you don’t feel rushed out of the park! Both were truly a blast and I can’t wait to return with my family. Check out my other Brandcation Posts and see the other exciting things to do in Pigeon Forge.
**Thank you to Dollywood and Dixie Stampede for admission to both places and wonderful hospitality. Opinions are, as always, honest and my own.**

Love the North vs South idea. Fun! The food looked downhome yummy too! Also, I’m glad it’s a show that the whole family would enjoy, not just adults.
