I am excited to announce that I am a Capri Sun Ambassador (otherwise known as the Capri Sun Crew)! What does that mean? Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing with you all the fun ways Capri Sun can play a part in your kids (and your) lives!First, though I want to share all about how my ambassadorship kicked off, with a trip to Chicago to go behind the scenes with Capri Sun!
As part of the Capri Sun Crew, I spent the day at the Kraft Headquarters, which is where Capri Sun is located, chatting with the amazing people behind Capri Sun. When we arrived we had a chance to tour the headquarters before sitting down with the team. It was very cool to see all the brands I never knew were part of the Kraft name, heck I didn’t even realize Capri Sun was one until this trip. Of course, we had to take some photos on the Capri Sun package couch and of the fun over sized pillow!
After our tour, we had a chance to sit down and learn all about the awesome things Capri Sun is bringing to the table, from their new initiatives to how they are changing up their juice drinks! We even got to taste test a smoothie made with the new Capri Sun…it was DELISH! Get the recipe here! Before I get into the initiative, let me share with you some of the changes Capri Sun is making to their beverages! They have really been listening to moms and dads, who inspired the changes, which will be easy to find on shelves in your local store!
In February of this year (2015), Capri Sun started replacing high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) with sugar in its original line of Capri Sun juice drinks. Additionally, Capri Sun Juice Drinks have 35% less sugar than other leading juice drinks. **This product has 13g sugars; leading regular juice drinks 22g sugars per 6 fl oz serving.** They are also replacing sucralose with stevia and HFCS with sugar in its Roarin’ Waters Flavored Water Beverages. Taking more than 25 billion calories out of the marketplace annually! That’s something to be happy about!
We also got to learn about their Push Play initiative. Capri Sun is really encouraging the kids to get out there and “Push Play”. You can check out what that means in this YouTube video:

After all our immersing, we definitely worked up an appetite and were treated to a very tasty lunch courtesy of Kraft Kitchens! We enjoyed Grilled Greek Chicken with Mediterranean Feta Vegetables, Spinach-Kale Berry Salad, Jell-O Watergate Mini Tarts, and Philadelphia Double Lemon Philadelphia Cheesecake! All of it was DELISH and really inspired me to try my hand at these dishes in my kitchen!
With our bellies, full, we had a tour of the Kraft kitchens and holy smokes they were amazing. A fully stocked pantry, several kitchens, and a room with supplies that would make the most famous food blogger jealous, I kind of wanted to become a chef right then! As luck would have it I would get my chance as we had a challenge to create quick and easy kids lunches using products provided by Capri Sun.
I am all about quick and easy so my tips and tricks were to make a lunch that can be prepared at least 95% done the night before. It was so interesting to see what each blogger created and it was so much fun. I was totally inspired for my own kids’ lunches thanks to our challenge. Finally, we got to take time to shop in the Kraft Store! I filled up my Capri Sun bag with goodies galore: Lots of coffee (Gevalia and McCafe), microwave Mac N Cheese (Star Wars and TNMT), and the new Salted Caramel Planters Peanuts! Then, sadly, it was time to return home.
