Summer is in full swing and for some of us it’s almost half way over. We’ve spent time outside, time indoors, and everything in between. If you aren’t careful, summer fun can get a little bit costly. Today, I wanted to share “5 Budget Friendly Summer Fun Ideas” for those days you might need a little more inspiration! I asked bloggers to provide links and photos (to be used with permission of course), so I could share with my readers some summer fun that won’t be a huge hit on the pocket book!
5 Budget Friendly Summer Fun Ideas
This Minion Cookie jar is a great way to enjoy some craft time AND have something to store those home baked treats in (which is another great idea for summer fun). Plus, with the Minions Movie coming out this week, it’s a great way to tell them the family is heading to the matinee showing of the movie!
Go on a DIY Dragon Hunt in your backyard! What kid doesn’t like to be an adventurer, why not go on a dragon (or other stuffed animal) hunt! Search high and low for a treasure or that favorite stuffed animal as you adventure through territory unknown!
Have kids that like to get hands on with playdoh OR in the kitchen? This Peanut Butter Playdoh is perfect for letting them play with their food! They can create fun shapes and the best part is, what they create is edible (I mean really, who doesn’t love powdered sugar, marshmallows, and peanut butter)!
With kids imaginations anything is possible. This Fairy Garden is a fun way to let them create a world full of fun and imagination! Create this garden as small or big as you like it.
These red, white, and blue napkin rings are perfect for any summer get together. While the July 4th holiday has passed, we can still have fun with red, white, and blue. Or take this tutorial and switch up the colors to match a birthday party theme or use summery colors. The best part about this craft is it’s totally customizable, let your kids personalities show through!
There are so many ways to have budget friendly summer fun! I would love to hear what some of your summer on a budget fun ideas are!
*Thank you to the bloggers who shared their ideas for budget friendly summer fun and gave permission for me to use their photos in this post, please be sure to visit each of the blogs listed for full instructions and tutorials*
