Breakfast Burritos With Tyson Fully Cooked Sausage #DoItAllMom #Cbias

Tyson Fully Cooked Sausage
Partner Review:Giveaway

Breakfast can be a tough time for some families, I know, most days I am that family.  We have a very strange school schedule here.  K-5th grade goes from 7:30-1:30 and 6-12 grades go 9:15-3:15, so mornings can be a bit hectic, especially for the littler ones who have to be up so early.  It comes down to letting them sleep and little longer and rush through our morning routine or getting them up early enough to take our time and risk grumpiness.  The sleeping a little longer usually wins out for us, which means I need something quick and easy for the mornings.  Sure it could be cereal, but more often than not they complain they were hungry once they got to school.  Luckily I have an answer and it all starts with Tyson Fully Cooked Sausage Patties.

I headed to Sam’s (see full shop here) to stock up on a few much needed things, as well as, pick up a package of the Tyson Fully Cooked Sausage Patties in hopes this would make my morning routine a little less stressful.  We have done breakfast burritos for quite some time now, but with the sausage you find by the bacon, the not cooked kind.  It has worked but it was a bit messy.   How could I avoid the mess and still get my kids eating a good breakfast?  With Tyson Fully Cooked Sausage Patties, of course.  I gathered my ingredients and got ready to start our day with a tasty (and pretty healthy) breakfast.

Tyson Sausage Ingredients

First I cooked one sausage patty and cut it up, and then followed by scrambling two eggs into it:

Now a little tip I found would make my meal even easier.  With the sausage patties, you can actually cook them in the microwave if you want. You can cook the eggs while you are waiting and then just toss it all together at the end.   After I have the “stuffing” for the burrito filled, I lay out two taco size flour shells and top each with half a slice of American cheese.  Next I add the sausage and egg mixture right on top of the cheese:

Once I have added the egg mixture I pop them into the microwave for about 20 seconds just to really soften the tortilla for easier rolling. Last, I roll up the shells into a burrito shape and my kids can enjoy a yummy, hot breakfast before school!

On The Go Breakfast

Not only is this great for our rushed school mornings, but also on mornings when we might have an early game on the weekend.  Sometimes between getting all the soccer uniform pieces on and having to be on the field at an early time, breakfast can be a delay.  These Sausage Breakfast Burritos are perfect on the go.  To make an even easier morning, you can double or triple the recipe (below) and save some in a container for a couple mornings usage.

Sausage Breakfast Burritos

2 Taco Sized Flour Tortillas
1 Tyson Fully Cooked Sausage Patty
2 Eggs
1 Slice American Cheese

  • Lay out the tortillas and top each with 1/2 slice American Cheese
  • Cook sausage according to package directions and cut up to desired size.
  • Add two eggs to sausage and scramble together
  • Spoon Sausage/Egg mixture over cheese and microwave for about 20 seconds.
  • Roll up, burrito style…and enjoy!

This is definitely one of my kids favorite meals in the mornings and this #DoItAllMom loves that she can make them a hot meal in just a matter of minutes, even on those crazy busy days!

I’m such a do-it-from scratch cooker, it never dawned on me to use fully cooked sausage, but that is about to change. For instance, I’m feeling hangry b/c I didn’t have breakfast. Using pre-cooked sausage makes it a lot less messy for clean up and good time saver – yea! I need to think outside the skillet!
