If you are looking for an app to help teach your little one while letting them have fun, then I have just the app for you. The Joy Sprouts – Kids Preschool Education app is a great way to entertain kids while teaching things like: Cognition and General Knowledge (Math, Science, and Social studies), Language and Literacy, Learning Approaches, Social and Emotional Development, and Physical Development and Health. Mine are a little older than the ages it is geared toward (5 and under) but they had a fun time playing along with me as we reviewed it.
With the Joy Sprout app, you can let your little ones learn, play and grow anywhere you can have your iPad. I think this is especially handy during long road trips.
I’ve already told you about what they will learn, here are a few more features you might like to know about!
FEATURES FOR YOUR CHILD
– Games and activities that help develop key skills essential for proper early childhood development.
– World class content from top publishers (e.g., Oxford University Press and the BBC).
– Colorful animations and characters.
– New learning modules added every month for ongoing development.
FEATURES FOR MOM AND DAD
– Concise summary reports detailing your child’s progress, strengths & weaknesses.
– Customizable reports that show your child’s improvement.
– Recommendations from our educational experts on additional modules to help your child reach their full potential.
Set up is super easy. You simply pick your child’s gender, pick a pre-loaded avatar, enter their name and birthdate, and they are ready to play! There are three downloads that come when you register your first child, yes that means each child can have their own profile. The three games are: ‘That’s My Job’, ‘Where Is Pooky?’, and ‘My Dad’!
Where is Pooky and That’s My Job, star the fun and lovable Garfield. In Where is Pooky, kids will have to complete mini games to collect puzzle pieces to find where Pooky is. In That’s My Job, your little one picks the outfit and accessory for Garfield to wear and then gets to watch him as he goes to work in the picked venue.
In the game, My Dad, kids get to be heroes as they help ‘dad’ fight fires, by making sure he has everything he needs from his uniform to the bell and even a cup of coffee.
Joy Sprouts has received several awards that include: Silicon Valley’s TiE50 Awards Winner, recognizing top startups internationally, Horizon Interactive Awards Gold Winner in Education, and MobEx’s Best Mobile mCommerce Award. I have found that this app is perfect when your little one wants some iPad time whether at home or on the road. So, this Christmas, when you get that new tablet and you find little paws trying to get into it, why not add something they will love and learn from!
