This post is brought to you by Edy’s and The Motherhood. I was provided with product coupons and compensated for my time. As always, opinions are that of the author.
It’s National Ice Cream Month and we have quite a few reasons to smile, thanks to Edy’s newest flavors. If you can’t tell, these girls were loving the new flavors!
They were the only ones I could snap a photo of fast enough before the new Edy’s ice cream flavors were gone. When I say these new flavors are awesome I mean they are AWESOME! Well, the 3 we got to try anyways, the store didn’t have one of the flavors but it sounds great from the description!
The new limited-edition flavors are:
- Take The Cake: Yellow cake-flavored light ice cream with a frosting swirl and multi-colored sprinkles. A classic combination of cake and ice cream in one carton. Available in Slow Churned Light Ice Cream.
- German Chocolate Cake: This is a NEW flavor and to imagine it, think of what a frozen german chocolate cake, mixed into a carton of chocolate ice cream would taste like. That’s what this flavor tastes like. It’s chocolate ice cream with a caramel, coconut swirl and brownie pieces. Available in Grand Ice Cream and Slow Churned Light Ice Cream
- Sunny Salted Caramel Pretzel: Salty, sweet and oh so scrumptious. This vanilla ice cream is mixed with a salted caramel swirl and pretzel pieces. Available in Grand Ice Cream and Slow Churned Light Ice Cream
- 3 Stripes and You’re Out: America’s Favorite Pastime has a new favorite flavor. Vanilla ice cream with mixed blueberry and strawberry swirls. Available in Grand Ice Cream.
I had a favorite (okay two). The Take the Cake and Sunny Salted Caramel Pretzel were, hands down, my favorite. Though there wasn’t a bad one of the three I tasted. I just was partial to the cake flavor and the salty taste in those two. I am looking forward to trying the 3 Stripes and You’re Out as soon as I can find it in stores! We are definitely ready to finish our summer and celebrate National Ice Cream Month with these limited-edition flavors.
As if we need a reason to celebrate National Ice Cream month, Edy’s “A Reason To Smile” campaign is one good reason. What is “A Reason To Smile”? Glad you asked.

- Since May 15, Edy’s ice cream has been sharing on it’s Facebook page every two weeks encouraging fans to help the brand donate to Operation Smile. Each “A Reason To Smile” post features different ways of participating, such as liking and sharing to commenting.

German Chocolate cake is my favorite. I bet the Ice Cream tastes just as good.
I scream, you scream – I would tear into that caramel pretzel one pretty shamelessly I think!
My kids would love these!
The salted caramel pretzel is the most amazing ice cream flavor. Recently our the breaker on our garage refrigerator flipped and we lost the few things in the freezer. Thankfully my Salted Caramel Pretzel (and the german chocolate) were in the inside fridge. Sadly we lost the other two.
Isn’t Edy’s the best? That Salted Caramel Pretzel flavor sounds INCREDIBLE!
How incredible that they are helping support Operation Smile. It’s one of my favorite organizations and I that they reach their $125K goal.
We’ve tried all three of the flavors you sampled and really enjoyed them all. (Not for any campaign, I just really love ice cream) I can’t believe they’re low fat!
