It’s day 6 in the journey of “30 Days About Me” and today is talking about the item we most treasure. My first thought was to say my family of course, but then I thought I don’t think it’s supposed to be people but rather a material item. Definitely has to be:

My wedding/engagement ring. My husband picked this all out by his lonesome and I was so impressed. The meaning of this ring to me is everything, it signifies a love for life. Love that no matter what will stay, will fight, will give and last forever. It’s a symbol of the commitment between two people saying “We are in this for the long haul, sure it’s not always going to be perfect but the love we have will pull us through whatever comes our way good or bad”.
I still remember the moment he lifted the menu at Outback Steakhouse and there was the box with his question of spending forever with him. Obviously I said yes LOL. So as far as material things go this is definitely my most treasured item because it symbolizes a love that is forever and how lucky I am to have such an amazing husband who is there for me through everything, who still tells me I am beautiful everyday, who still makes sure I know he is just as in love with me now as he was then. I am such a lucky, lucky person.
If you are joining in this blog meme link up your Day 6 post below. If you are a reader and want to join in on the fun play along in the comments and share with us your most treasured item.

That’s a beautiful blog. Today mine is about the wedding ring I wear . . . it was my mom’s ๐ Hubby doesn’t mind that I do – I lost my original wedding ring years ago (we were young and poor, it was nothing to write home about – lol).
