I kid, I kid…I am not leaving you hanging but I am not kidding about Marvel’s Ant-Man being awesome and you needing to go see it ASAP! During my Ant-Man adventure in LA, you know chatting with the cast and all, we also got to screen the movie way early. *I’ll pause so you can finish throwing your envious fit* Most know my love for Marvel, but I admit to being a bit skeptic when it came to Ant-Man. Did I think it was going to be good, well it’s Marvel, so yes. Did I expect it to be brilliant? Not exactly! Thankfully, I was wrong.
Marvel’s Ant-Man is the perfect combination of “come-to-expect” action with a great amount of comedy. With a cast of characters who will draw you in from the starting scene, and hold your attention until after the final credit rolls, Ant-Man will captivate Marvel fanatics and those new to the Marvel world alike *PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY STAY UNTIL THE SCREEN HAS NOTHING LEFT ON IT* If you are new to the Marvel world, this is a great movie to start with. Be warned, though, you will likely go home and search up all the other movies and binge watch them, doing nothing productive all weekend.
Paul Rudd takes on the role of Ant-Man himself. He is simply a guy who tends to make the wrong choices and ends up in all sorts of situations that aren’t ideal. That doesn’t change when he becomes Ant-Man, in fact that is exactly what leads him to becoming Ant-Man, but now he has a bit more responsibility on his shoulders. You know the saying “Great things come in small packages”, well nothing could be more true when it comes to Ant-Man.
I don’t want to giveaway too much, because I really want you to go see it for yourself, so here are a few reasons why I think you need to go see Marvel’s Ant-Man.
- You’ll likely see yourself in one (or maybe all) of the characters.
- Heartstrings will be tugged as you watch a father/daughter relationship (or two) navigate issues
- You will laugh your bootie off at the Antourage
- The cast is amazing (I mean Michael Douglas, Paul Rudd, Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, TI, David Dastmalchian..need I go on)
- It’s a marvel movie…no more reason needed!
I was truly drawn into every angle of Marvel’s Ant-Man. The action, the comedy, the strained relationships, the love story, and everything in between. All the facets of the movie make for an epic adventure. Don’t count Ant-Man out, when it comes to big Marvel contenders, I definitely think it will hold it’s own in the Marvel Universe and may deliver a knock out when you least expect it!
