Stepping Into Radiator Springs At The New Cars Land Was Surreal #BraveCarsLandEvent

This photo provided courtesy of Disney, with approval to use on this site.

On my Brave/Cars Land Adventure I had the chance to check out the famous Radiator Springs up close and personal. If you’ve seen the movie Cars you know exactly what I am talking about. The small little town on Route 66 that Lightning McQueen finds himself in. Now, not only can McQueen immerse himself in the quaint little town, we can too. I have to admit the whole time I was walking around the newest addition to Disney’s California Adventure, I repeatedly said “My kids are going to hate me“. Hate me they did not, I was suddenly just like a movie star to them once they saw I was in Radiator Springs. I mean really how many kids can say their mom has been where Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater live?!

I can not wait for the day I can take my kids to this fun little village based off one of their favorite movies. I will say, I will wait until it’s been open a few months and off season because the crowds were crazy and rightly so. With the ability to step into favorite places like the Cozy Cone, Flo’s Diner, Ramone’s Paint Shop, Cars fans from all over will be wanting to get into this land now that it’s open. It’s been years in the making after all. The amount of detail was absolutely amazing, everything was so much like the movie words honestly will not do it justice so I’ll share some photos instead.

The details that were put into Cars Land blew my mind.  I had people tell me I might be disappointed when I went to the west coast Disney but I was not at all.  I was more than pleasantly surprised.  I had the time of my life.  It made me want to run home and watch the movie again to see the places again I had just been.

There are only 3 rides in Cars Land: Radiator Springs Racers, Tow-Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, and Luigi’s Flying Tires. I had the chance to ride two out of the three and will be sharing with you all about those tomorrow so watch for that post. I can’t beging to stress enough how fun this little land will be for kids, not to mention  Disney’s California Adventure as a whole. It’s crowded yes, but it’s such a surreal experience you can’t even begin to put it into words. Take photos with your favorite characters, walk around Radiator Springs and nosh on some great eats. Step out of reality and into a dreamland of Disney/Pixar proportions. You’ll leave feeling like you have just been “Ka-chow’d”!
