7 Tips For A Fun Night of Indoor Camping #NaturesSleep #sponsored

Nature's Sleep Disclosure

When most people think of camping, scenes like this come to mind….

Camping Activities

However, sometimes the weather doesn’t always co-operate and to be honest, I am not a big fan of bugs and the mosquitos are not nice to me, here in Florida.  So, we like to enjoy camping indoors, most of the time.  Today, I have 7 tips to share with you, so you can have fun camping indoors!

Indoor Camping

1) Keep It Simple.  For kids, having a night out of the ordinary is fun!  If, like us, weather won’t co-operate (or bugs are really bad) and your camping plans got cancelled, you may be throwing together the indoor camping at last minute.  Don’t worry about going all out.  Sometimes you just need a sheet and open space!  Create a “tent” that can be slept under, read under, told stories under…you get my drift.  Ours was so simple but the kids had a blast…we didn’t get extravagant, but you would have thought I worked hours with the way their faces lit up when they saw their “tent” for the night.

2) Some of us can get very cranky, if we don’t get a good nights sleep indoors or outdoors.  So, whether you are sleeping on a home floor or the nature’s floor, during your camping trip, you want to sleep soundly (or as soundly as possible).  With the Nature’s Sleep Toppers, you can get a better night sleep than simply sleeping in a sleeping bag, on an air mattress, or just a cover on the floor!  Add a topper to your indoor campout and hopefully you’ll be sleeping like my son!

3) Go “dark” for the night.  When you camp, in a tent, outside, it’s likely you won’t have electricity.  So, one way you can have a fun night indoors, is to turn everything off.  Use flashlights and tell stories.  It’s a great way to feel like you are experience true camping, while you are indoors.

4)  Pack a picnic basket.  Make a basket of goodies, that are able to be enjoyed without having to cook.  Have an ice chest filled with cold drinks, pre-made sandwiches, chips,  and fresh fruit and veggies.  This is great for indoor camping, if you are going dark, so you don’t have to use anything but your hands to create your meals.

5) Nature themed snacks.  Have you noticed how much broccoli looks like a tree?  Or celery filled with peanut butter and topped with raisins could be ants on a log.  Outdoor themed snacks are a great way to bring the outdoors, to your indoor camping experience.  Check out these PEEPS minis tulips, with chocolate stem we had fun making!

6) If you want to keep the comforts of being indoors, have a movie night “under the stars”.  Pick out your favorite movies, get some  glow stars to stick to the top of your tent (cover or actual tent) and heat some s’more in the microwave.  It’s a great way to have an out of the ordinary family movie night…and keep with your indoor camping theme.

7) Have fun.  Indoor camping is probably one of our favorite things to do as a family.  We laugh, we tell stories, play games and make memories that I know my kids will carry on with their kids.  It’s nice to just stop, for a night, and enjoy “camping” together!

Right now you can enjoy 40% off all toppers, so you can have a more comfortable indoor or outdoor camping experience.

We don’t camp, but that would be perfect for sleepovers, too!

This is actually genius, I wonder why I haven;t thought of this before!!!

    Kidding.

But really, thank you so much for this! I’m getting old for all those outdoor adventures, but my kids love it. This would be a good enough compromise.

    🙂
