Thanks to ProFlowers for the perfect date night in decor and dessert. The roses were beautiful and the strawberries and cheesecake were absolutely delish! All thoughts and opinions are my own!
When you say the word date night, it’s usually assumed it means heading out of the house with your significant other. That doesn’t always have to be the case, in fact sometimes a date night in is a necessity. It could be because you have a new baby or are trying to save a little money and dinner at a fancy restaurant isn’t in the budget. No matter the reason, date night in is just as fun (if not more fun) than a date night out. Today I want to share with you some fun date night in ideas
7 Fun Date Night In Ideas
A Slumber Party! Okay I know, when you think of slumber party, you think of kids, but how much more fun would a slumber party be when it is just you and your spouse! Send the kids to stay with a friend and enjoy a night in without kids. Pop in your favorite movie and even have a little kissing session, you know like you used to do before kids were all around. There’s no reason you have to keep this slumber party PG if you and your spouse are all alone!
Fancy Pants. Decorate your table with this fabulous bouquet and dessert from ProFlowers and get dressed up. Order in from a local restaurant (look for coupons to save some money) and enjoy dinner and dessert over a beautifully decorated table. It’s like going to a fancy restaurant without the fancy price tag
Theme Night. Pick a movie you can’t usually watch with kids around, say The Godfather, and make the whole night themed after it. Enjoy cooking an Italian dinner with your love, then eat the food and sip on your wine while you watch the movie.
Game Night. It’s okay to be competitive with the one you love. Rather than worrying about hurting your kid’s feelings if you beat them, having a game night on your date night in ensures you can win with no sense of guilt! Find out who reigns supreme in Trivial Pursuit or Monopoly. Or get a little more risque and enjoy strip poker with the one you love.
Karaoke Night. Enjoy a night of singing your favorite tunes. Whether you want to rap or sing a love song, this is an excellent way to have fun with your other half.
Make S’more Memories. We are lucky enough to have a wood burning fireplace. So we can grab some hot dogs and s’more ingredients and enjoy an indoor cookout!
A Tasting Party. Whether it’s wine, beer, or even different kinds of food. Round up several items to taste and enjoy together.
There are so many ways to enjoy a great date night in and these are just a few of my favorites. I would love to hear how you and your love enjoy a date night in, so share in the comments!
