I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Mom Corps YOU. I received a free trial to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
The day I got my first “real” as in non-fast food, job, I remember the interview process being very tedious. I can openly admit I was a nervous nelly. Luckily, my nerves didn’t seem to show through, or the interviewer didn’t care, because I got the job as a pharmacy technician. While I did get the job, it wasn’t easy to prepare on my own which I why I wish Mom Corps YOUhad been in my life back then. Thankfully for all you moms, who are entering or re-entering, the workforce, it’s available now!
I took time to listen to the webinar “HOW TO TRANSFORM YOUR RESUME INTO SOCIAL MEDIA“. The webinar was focusing on LinkedIn…which is something I totally need to use more, so I was really excited about the topic! Here are a few things I learned at the webinar:
I am definitely wanting to build a more powerful profile on LinkedIN, because it’s one of those social media sites I am not really sure about. While listening to the webcast, I realized I probably have been filling people’s streams every time I edit. I never realized I should change the privacy setting until my changes were updated!
A few of the other things I learned in the webcast:
- Showcase your credentials, but don’t worry about showcasing them all. Be sure to focus on the really important items when it comes to credentials.
- Include a photo, it matters. You are 7x more likely to have your profile viewed if you have one.
- Infuse key words into your profile!
I was able to learn so much more and am amazed at the resources. We all want to make the best first impression both online and off, that’s exactly what Mom Corps YOU will help you learn how to do! www.momcorpsYOU.com is a subscription service and is available for $99 a year of $19.99 a month, definitely a great investment if you ask me! What do you think you would get out of a service like Mom Corps YOU!
