During the summer we spend a lot of time outdoors, but now that the sun is setting much earlier it means more time indoors. Kids can divert to video and computer games, which are fine occasionally, but I don’t want them on there for hours. That’s why I encourage reading! So, my daughter and I recently took to her bunk beds to enjoy a night of reading in the dark…and in our pjs!

As with any good reading party favorite books need to be picked and the perfect snacks must be had.

My daughter decided to jump into Isabelle by American Girl while I took on a favorite “The Fault In Our Stars”. Both of us has a blast and I actually ended up, reading to her. We are going to do a whole family party once sports season has ended and we are actually all home on the same night at the same time ūüôā
