Breakfast is the most important meal of our day, more often than not, for my son, that day starts with a bowl of Kellogg’s® Frosted Mini-Wheats®. I love that he enjoys the cereal and it’s pretty darn good for him. Now, thanks to Kellogg’s® Frosted Mini-Wheats® and Scholastic teaming up to bring you the Every Day Is A Big Day program. The program gives families a chance to complete “Mini™ Missions” for a chance to earn free books and fun prizes. Not only will that benefit families that participate, but it can benefit the schools the kids attend as well.
For this month, the mission is Start A Nutrition Tradition mission. The first mission is to share a healthy breakfast as a family for five days. So for the next five days, you can complete a mission by sharing what you are eating. You will be earning points and books. Each month families continue to log in and complete the Mini™ Missions, they earn 2 more books and are entered into the sweepstakes where 131 prizes will be awarded to communities and schools each month.
Monthly prizes for families include 2 Scholastic books when you complete the missions. For the communities/schools the monthly prizes include $25 Scholastic teacher store online gift cards, Scholastic book sets for classrooms, $200 grants for PTO/PTAs, and a Book Nook library makeover for one community center or organization. That’s definitely incentive enough for me to start Mini™ Missions with my family, and we started with sharing stories over bowls of Kellogg’s® Frosted Mini-Wheats® for breakfast, all the while learning that the cereal is not just good around the table but also good when we are rushed and have to eat on the go.
