There are women in your life who make all the difference in the world. Three of those women (though there are several more) are my mom, my aunt and my cousin. Some people aren’t so lucky when it comes to family, I have to say I am. With the women in my life, who happen to be my family, I am blessed to always have a fun time, lots of laughs, support through hard times, and such great examples to follow.
When I think of someone who is strong I think of my mom. She went through breast cancer back in 2009 and it returned just recently. This scary thing, she takes on with such a positive attitude. This time she did require surgery, but that didn’t deter her faith or happiness. Watching her walk this journey is so inspiring to me. Since she had been homebound for a few days, we decided to go on a “field trip” and meet up with some more of my favorite ladies…
We headed to our local Starbucks to try out the new Teavana Oprah Chai Tea beverages. Having been a fan of other chai drinks, I was excited to try this new drink.
I was not disappointed. We picked up both an iced and hot version of the drink and both tasted amazing. I have had experiences where a drink tastes great hot and not so much iced or vice versa. With the Teavana Oprah Chai Tea beverage that was not the case. This chai blend features a bold infusion of cinnamon, cardamom and cloves blended with loose-leaf black tea and rooibos. Lightly sweetened and finished with steamed milk, it makes for a spicy, sweet and delicious latte. And it was delicious! I loved it both warm and cold, which means it’s perfect year round!
Getting to sit, visit, and laugh with my best friends, who are also my family was so much fun! We were able to share stories, enjoy each other’s company, and just take a minute out of our busy days. This Mother’s Day take a little time out with your mom and head to Starbucks because when you buy yourself a Teavana Oprah Chai Tea drink, mom gets one free!
