As a child, I adored Alice In Wonderland, it was probably one of my favorite movies to watch. I still think of Soft Batch cookies when I think of Alice and The White Rabbit. My daughter has inherited the love of that movie with me, so there have been numerous times we have sat and watched it together.
Recently, we heard about Alicewinks and it is a new way to experience the magic of Alice In Wonderland. Alicewinks is a fun way to enjoy the story of Alice, we have all grown to know and love over the years, in a different way. We all know kids today love technology and I, myself, tend to lean toward reading eBooks when I have the choice. The Alicewinks iBook, is fun for the whole family to enjoy together or seperately. With the option to read the story or have it read to you while watching a video makes my tech loving kids happy.
My daughter, who is 8, loves to read so the option of still being able to read the full text with the beautiful illustrations makes her (and me) happy. At bedtime, if her eyes are tired she can still hear the story and watch it brought to life in the videos. We get to explore the story of Alice In Wonderland in a new way!
How does Alicewinks keep everyone interested?
- It brings classic Alice illustrations to life for digital audiences, including 193 original illustrations from twelve early 20th century artists.
- Told through animated video and rich narration that’s the fruit of a creative effort spanning 19 voices, three animators, a music keyboardist, a subtitle expert, and a master sound mixer to create a richly textured, immersive multimedia experience.
We’ve been reading and enjoying the videos and pictures for a few days, and she hasn’t tired of it. That says a lot, because sometimes getting her to sit through a movie is not the easiest task. So, to know she is enjoying herself while reading, makes this mom pretty darn happy.
I am enjoying the iBook just as much as she is and have a few favorite things about it:
- It’s a classic story that I am able to enjoy in a new way.
- The illustrations in the book are stunning, I love that Alice is showed through the years.
- The voice readings. This is perfect for kids who may not be old enough to read but enjoy stories.
I am very impressed with Alicewinks and am looking forward to finishing the book, and reading again and again over the years with generations to come. I would love to see more classic books be made like this. Make sure you head over and download your copy of Alicewinks in iTunes today so you can enjoy this fun story, brought to life in a new way.
In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Alice’s Adventure’s in Wonderland, Alicewinks brings the story’s classic illustrations to life for digital audiences through animated video and rich narration. To download this one of a kind iBook, visit iTunes.com/alicewinks
