Whitney Houston, Another Music Icon Gone Too Soon

Probably one of the most iconic performers in my young years along with Michael Jackson was Whitney Houston. Today the music world has suffered another loss. I got the AP update on my phone and my heart just dropped at the news of Whitney Houston’s death, and yes yours truly here teared up.

With songs like “I Will Always Love You” that you can catch me belting out on a weekly basis and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” that keep me bopping around, Whitney Houston plays a big part in my families life. Movies like “The Bodyguard” are always a favorite

With a part of her life having struggles like few experience, she had the highs and lows to the extreme. Just when her life seemed to be headed back up, news of her death has shaken the music and film industry. Many prayers and condolences go out to her children and family in this difficult time. Now just to get a little nostalgic and remember her in song, here is her duet with Mariah Carey “When You Believe”:

What are some of your favorite Whitney Houston songs?

I’m not even a fan of her music and I was really sad to hear about this. Mostly for her poor daughter, who’s been through so much in her life.
