Unplanned Moments Make The Best Memories + $50 Gift Card Giveaway #GoodandHonest #Ad

Motherhood Disclosure
Messy Moments

Some of life’s unplanned moments bring the biggest smiles and best memories. As you can see, when my kids were younger, there were plenty of unplanned moments that usually ended in big messes. However, the laughs and smiles that came from those moments were worth every minute of the un-planning!

Unplanned moments can be fun but sometimes they are scary, take for instance the time I found my daughter covered in blood..fake blood thank goodness, but it scared me none the less. If I am being “Good and Honest“, most of my unplanned parenting moments include my daughter, but seeing as she was part of my biggest unplanned parenting moment, it’s no surprise. What unplanned moment was that? The time she was born LITERALLY on my doorstep! You can’t get much more unplanned than that, be sure to take time to read all of “Bella’s Story“. Of  course, that unplanned moment was pretty AMAZING!

I love that Mott’s wants to celebrate parents everywhere doing the best for their kids, even when that requires a little improvisation! Thankfully no matter when we have to improvise, we are ready…at least when it comes to the snack part. I am always planning for hungry kids. Mott’s Snack and Go Applesauces are what I keep on hand!

Mott's Snack & go

My favorite good and honest moment was putting cheerios in the toilet to help potty train my boys.

  7. 7

Well, my ‘unplanned moment” was when my daughter (almost 2) got ahold of a bottle of nail polish and painted her baby dolls toenails. I was “good” because I sort of laughed and figured..well…crap happens!

  8. 8

When my kids were smaller they didn’t want to try fish so we used to tell them it was “special chicken”. It worked.

  9. 9

When it comes to making wise decision for my daughter I make sure it’s implemented or carried out.

I told my son the park was closed before when I was too tired to take him.

  11. 11

My daughter used to get a lot of ear infections when she was younger. To get her to take the liquid medicine, I had to mix it with chocolate syrup and put that on top of vanilla ice cream. She thought it was great that she got to eat ice cream, and I got her medicine in her. Win-win!

  12. 12

To get kids to eat broccoli, we tell them it is a must if they are going to run faster in the next soccer game. And there is always a next game, this works like a charm in our house.

  13. 13

My son refused to eat his baby food, so I cut his baby bottle opening and put his baby food pureed in it, and he drank it all up!

  14. 14

I “trick” my kids into helping me do housework by turning it into a game. It was kind embarassing when we were at a friend’s house and my son said, “look at the mess – we should play the clean up game!”

My Good and Honest parenting moment comes when I accidentally forgot to pack a snack for my son (I had everything else in the diaper bag.) Thank goodness a Motts applesauce pouch was found in my purse! My son gobbled it down.

  16. 16

My favorite Good & Honest parenting moment was finding a solution so that my kids would stop getting out of the rooms at night.

When my kids toys are too loud and end up being annoying, especially the ones they say the same thing over and over; which can drive you crazy, sometimes they come up missing, and I just replace them with something else. They ask me where the toy went, and I just say, “Hey look at this new toy!”?

  18. 18

That is a good questions–I am going to have to go with the Tooth Fairy when I forgot to put it under the pillow!

  31. 31

My good and honest moment is telling my children that we have trolls at the end of our road to prevent them trying to escape 😉 Really its because they have amazing imaginations and love the idea of trolls/gnomes/fairies.

  32. 32

Oh one of my moments was when we went to my sisters and it started snowing.
