Toning It Up With Toni & #YourShape: Drink That Water

It’s the beginning of week 4 in the Your Shape Challenge so welcome to my Week 3 Wrap up. This week I only got to work out ONE day. Yes you read that correct one day…though I did up it from 15 minutes to 30! Jenny is cruising for a bruisin’ at the end of that 30 minutes if I had one ounce of energy left to knock her out with. I am bummed that I didn’t get to do it more but having watched my aunt’s son this week I was exhausted with a capital E! Though it does just push me to do better this week.

My vlog this week focuses on water. As you know we should get up to 64 oz (or divide your body weight by 2 and that is the “real” amount of water you should get according to some). I have been getting about 70, that’t 10 oz. more daily than my suggested amount. I will admit I don’t like water but here is how I make sure to get my daily water in:

To know that you are getting enough water if you are drinking enough fluid you should rarely feel thirsty and produce 1.5 liters (6.3 cups) or more of colorless or slightly yellow urine a day, if you are doing that your fluid intake is probably adequate. It not look at your fluid intake. If you are like me and don’t like water, flavor it or freeze it, I find water tastes better super cold (maybe it’s just me).

Now for week four, I am determined to get at least 4 days of Your Shape in and hope I feel wonderful at the end of the week and very accomplished!

    The book 100 Year Lifestyle says that if only drank 100 oz of water a day for a year, your friends wouldn’t recognize you due to your “fitness”.
    I have also heard that for every cup of diuretic (which pulls water out of your system – cokes, coffee, even diet cokes, etc) you need to add one cup of water to replenish the loss.

    I know I don’t drink enough. I try to drink 5 or 6 12 oz cups at work.

    And, I love my water ice cold – I think it tastes better too!

    I agree my water has to be ice cold and I had to stop buying bottle of water I found we were wasting them…So now I use the heck out of my water dispenser on the fridge.

    I definitely need to increase my water intake. I try to always have a few bottles with me at work, but i make the mistake of keeping a can of coke next to those bottles. And don’t you know it, the coke wins every time.

    My one weakness! I always make sure to eat fruit but I forget to drink the right amounts of water.

    I have a big ‘ol bottle I fill up with water too! It’s helped me drink more water. I like the Great Value drink mixes.
