To Dance Or To Dance? That Is The Real Question #Music #Dance

Those are my very first ballet shoes, I still have them to this day and will have them until the day I no longer walk this earth.  They represent such a big part of my life and who I was, am and will be as long as I can keep on keeping on.  I adore dancing.  Lately I have been listening to some amazing songs that I really want to put routines too and so I figured I would share them with you.

But before I do I wanted to share this routine the church dance team I lead did.  I was so proud of this once it all came together, and really thank God for giving me the inspiration, idea, song, and movements.  It was such a great dance, and while the video doesn’t do it justice, (because you can’t see all that’s going on) I wanted to share it with y’all.  So here is the Jubilee Navarre dance team dancing to Francesca Battistelli’s Beautiful, Beautiful (by the way, that’s me in the red shirt on the stage and then with the angel wing flags, in case you wondered if I was in it or just choreographed it):

I can’t even put into words how proud I was of the dancers. They put in time, ideas, and so much more. After that my head and heart have been in overdrive. There are so many songs I want to do dances to. Check out just a few of them…

Remix of Canon in D:

Would love to do a combination jazz, hip/hop, and ballet to this song. It’s such a fun song.

I’m Gonna Love You Through It:

Hoping to put together something for the Cancer survivor dinner and/or the Relay for Life for this song.

I Will Not Be Moved:

This song is really how I strive to live and I hope to put together a dance that tells the story of the song.

I could go on and on all day but I’ll stop for now. I love to dance, it’s my life, it’s a gift God gave me and I want to make sure I use it to touch others. It’s so healing to me to dance. I’ll have to share my Alabaster Box dance with y’all someday. Until then…get up and dance!

Canon in D was what I walked down the aisle to. <3 I want to download that one. I want to see the dance if you ever do one to it.

I love dancing, too. I never took dance, but was in a few dance contests in my late teens/early twenties that I won. When I was little I wanted to be a dancer like Goldie Hawn on Laugh In. 🙂

Just beautiful and I love that song by the way.

My favorite song to dance to is Footloose. Mostly because I can’t really dance and I can getaway with it with that song, LOL
