Things My Daughter Says Episode 2

Have I mentioned I love the way little minds work.  They hear things in their own little way.  Well my daughter definitely hears things her own way quite often though the things she hears us say could have been what she heard if that makes sense.

We went to her tap & ballet class on Tuesday night as usual and on the way home, I was listening to KLOVE and got so excited during a song just thinking about God’s awesomeness.  So I was like “Bella God is so AWESOME!” She looks at me with her beautiful blue eyes waiting for me next sentence as to why.  So I continue with “You know why he is so awesome, because he takes care of our needs”

She ponders this for a moment then as innocent and as sure of herself as she can be she says “So that means when they are hurt and make our legs crooked he will fix them” It set in that she heard it as “God takes care of our knees“.  I giggled, though not too loudly (she gets her feelings hurt if she thinks you are laughing at her unless she is intentionally trying).  Assured her that yes God will take care of our knees if  they get hurt.

Have I mentioned I love the innocence of my daughter.  She may be the one who pushes my buttons and tests my patience quite often but she along with my boys are my world and everyday they amaze me, make me smile and so extremely honored God chose me to be their mom!

lol I LOVE IT! Do you know that song “God Is a Friend of Mine”?

“God is a friend of mine. God is a friend of MINE. God is a friend of mine. He calls me friend!”

Well, my daughter (when she was like 3) says, “Mom, my name is Abby. Why would God call me Fred?” Oh, the innocence of these sweet babes.

Needs, Knees, close sounding words. Yet, she got the point in her own unique sweet way.
