Mission: Pick someone or a company to give a Halloween gift basket full of goodies too.
I love being able to give back, especially to those who give to my children each day, their teachers. I had the chance to do a shop for Mars’ Gift Basket, full of Mars’ branded goodies such as Snickers Mini candies, twix, and more. First things first I had to decide who I wanted to give the goodie basket to and there was no second thought about giving it to my daughters teacher. Now that I’ve decided who I wanted to surprise the shop was on.
Check out my shop in my This Moment Story here:
After picking up all the goodies and supplies for the basket it was home I headed to assemble, get my daughter’s touch, and finally give the teacher her hard earned candy and little presents for the kids.
First steps making sure all the supplies are right at hand:
One thing about assembling a goodie gift basket is the temptation to dig into the candies, luckily I bought double of some! Mama was pretty smart, you can’t buy candy in a house full of kids without buying extra for them to dig into right?
Next we get the goodies in the basket and arrange for optimal “prettiness”. Hey, I am a girly girl and I like to make baskets look organized, don’t hate (or laugh). Let the decorating and candy adding begin:
All done!! Next step delivering it to the school! Do you know how hard it is not to dig into a basket full of candy? So off we go to surprise Mrs.W! Let it be known, you may need to wear full football gear when delivering a basket of candy to a school full of children. It’s a dangerous situation I tell ya, but we made it safely to the class. Bella, handed her teacher the basket and Mrs. W was so touched, just check out the photo:
Yes, that is a sticker over the teachers face, I did not have any waivers so I am playing it safe, but let it be known her smile was a big as the clowns. She went on and on about how it was such a sweet gesture and even sent a note home thanking me again. I love the teachers at my kids schools, they really do go all out to help them do the best they can and that to me can never be repaid but at least this is a token of appreciation. Our shop and gift basket donation was an amazing success. I am so glad I got to join in this project and hope that others remember to make sure their child’s teacher knows they are appreciated!

I had the hardest time keeping the candy out of my kids’ hands when I was doing my gift basket. Teachers do so much for our kids so it’s great that we can give them a treat every now and then.
What a great idea to give it to a teacher! Teachers are always giving candy to their students so I’ll bet she was so happy to get some in return.
What a great idea!! I can’t wait to give Lizzie’s teacher her Christmas gift, I didn’t do a Halloween basket.
I would love it if a student did this for me!
This is such a great idea! Teachers are under-appreciated and its always nice to recognize how much they matter in our children’s lives! Great post!
