The Sonos One speaker, available at Best Buy, is the perfect gift for the music lover in your life. Before I go into all the details about why you need to head over and grab your Sonos One, check out the sound quality in this short snapchat video I made.
The sound quality is so crystal clear on the Sonos One and I love that I can hear it from any room in the house. Set up was super easy, which is a plus for me. After plugging in the Sonos One, I downloaded the Sonos and Amazon Alexa apps on my phone and followed the prompts.
You simply connect to your wifi and follow the prompts and your Sonos One will be up and running in just a few minutes. We did hit a snag as there was an update I had to wait on before I could use it, but once the update came through a few days later I was good to go. Because the Sonos One connects through the Alexa app, playing music is a breeze.
You simply add the stations you want to, in the Alexa app, like Apple Music or Spotify, and then you can say “Alexa play (whatever playlist you want)” and the music starts up. Of course, not all my music apps worked with Alexa which is not a problem. The Sonos app has a lot of music stations to choose from. When using the Sonos app, you just pick the station you want and hit play. While you can use the Sonos with Alexa for music, you can also use it to find out current movies playing, local weather and traffic and much more. If you are in another part of the house you can ask Alexa to turn the volume up so you can jam out no matter where you are.
Overall, I am super impressed with the Sonos and the sound quality it has. When the Alexa app is working properly I love that I can ask Alexa things like finding a cookie recipe and she (most of the time) obliges. If you are looking for a speaker that is perfect for playing music and has lots of other perks then the Sonos One is something you will want to add to your Christmas list.
