Lately it seems that almost daily I find myself weeping before God. There are things going on in my life that are truly a faith testing.  I don’t understand why my family is going through these trials or  when they will end.  I know in the end everything will be fine and God will work it all out but the waiting for answers and not knowing how the end result is going to come is definitely stretching my faith to new limits. One day I just broke down in my car when I pulled into Walgreen’s and as I did this song came on:
It couldn’t have spoke to me at a more appropiate time. When my life seems to be upside down and I have no idea how in the world our current situation is going to work out it’s a scary thing . However as the chorus of this songs says:
Would dare you, would you dare, to believe,
that you still have a reason to sing,
’cause the pain you’ve been feeling,
can’t compare to the joy that’s coming
so hold on, you got to wait for the light
press on, just fight the good fight
because the pain you’ve been feeling,
it’s just the dark before the morning
So I know that God will provide and work out my situation somehow and I have complete faith in that but I also know that it is okay to say “God I am trusting you but not knowing is scary” shed a few tears and then ask Him to give me peace until “the morning” AKA the prayer is answered. I don’t know why things like this happen but I know there is a reason and God will work everything together because I am doing what He has called me to do.
So what are some things that help you when you are going through a hard time?

{hugs} Praise You In the Storm by Casting Crowns is also a great song. I sang the words of it over and over again when my mom passed away and it was also played at my mom’s funeral. Thanks for sharing this song too.
Toni, I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have had my faith tested to new limits. Just when I think I cannot take not one more setback, something else comes along to deal with and that is all that we can do – deal with it. We do as much as we humanly can in a particular situation and then we just have to turn it over to God. There is nothing left for us to do. If we do not turn it over to him – then he cannot come in and help us through the storm.
Stay strong and things will work themselves out in the end. They always do when we just believe.
