I’ve had the pleasure of trying out the Samsung Galaxy S III and Verizon Wireless the last two months and it’s been great. I love being able to compare this phone and carrier to my current phone and carrier. I have always wondered which service really was better but did not want to bit the bullet, switch, and be disappointed so this ambassadorship has given me a great opportunity to try it out. Today, though, is not about which carrier is better….it’s all about the social apps.
In my daily life social media plays a big part and I am connected wherever I go. Social apps are very important to me because they allow me to connect on the go. I wasn’t sure how the apps on the Samsung Galaxy S III would compare to my current phone. The apps had to be downloaded from the google play store and I just wasn’t sure they would have everything I needed wanted. So a searching I did go! I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had the main ones I was looking for and got to downloading. They even had a few I hadn’t noticed before with my current phone (not to say they aren’t there).
Today I am going to share my must have social apps for the Samsung Galaxy S III (the must haves for me at least):
Of course facebook was the first one I searched for. I connect with friends and readers alike through my personal and fan pages. You know it would be one of the first for you too! Come on over and like my page while you’re there.
While I don’t use it as much as facebook, I did install Google + because it is up and coming (or so I’m told). I figured I may as well download it too. Obviously if Google play didn’t have this app I would have been shocked LOL.
Instagram!!! Society’s favorite way to share photos. Instagram is one of my most used apps on both my phone, which mean I knew it was going to be installed on the Samsung. I really enjoyed using it on our trip to Orland a week or so ago.
Tweet, Tweet, Tweet! If you are in social media or just love to gab in 140 characters or less then you will be happy to know that the twitter app is available. Stay connected with your followers and those you are following with the touch of an icon! Don’t forget to follow @ToniPatton when you download this app!
This one was a new one to me. It’s called Color. Color lets you capture and share LIVE video Broadcasts and photos instantly with Facebook friends and followers. I love this! With 60 second snippets it is a fun way to go live but not bore your friends/fans to death LOL.
Tumblr! I have had a tumblr for quite some time but really got into using it to share random thoughts, photos, quotes and more. I love that they have a tumblr app to make it easy to post on the go! Check out my tumblr and make yourself one if you haven’t already!
Those are just a few of the social apps I catch myself using all the time. They have so many others like foursquare, pinterest, seesmic, and tweet deck. I could go on and on. Chances are I will be able to find many of the same (though I can’t say with certainty all the same) social apps on the Samsung Galaxy S III that I can find on my iPhone. That means it stands a chance!! What are some of your favorite social apps?

I am in love with the Verizon service. I have the Droid Incredible 4G LTE and not the Galaxy, but the service is so fast and I never have trouble getting a signal.

I have the Samsung GIII and I ADORE It — I went into the Verizon store a month ago for a phone upgrade, intent on an iPhone …. it did NOT take long of a last minute “let’s check the other phones” before I realized it was the Samsung that was perfect for me. I love, love, love, love it.
It sounds quite similar to an iPhone, although a bit slimmer and larger.
I am ready for an upgrade myself, great review!
