As I get ready for the Iron Man 3 red carpet premiere one of the things I was stressing about was my hair. I mean this is Iron Man 3, there are some big stars that will be walking the red carpet near me so I need to look my best. Thanks to the 32mm curling iron ISO Beauty sent me I should be looking awesome on the red carpet. Here is the item they sent me to review (and hopefully use for the red carpet, more on that in a minute)
In the box were instructions, the 32mm clipless iron and a heat glove. The glove is VERY IMPORTANT, trust me on this.
Having always used curling irons with clips I want to be very straight up and say there is definitely a learning curve. I never realized just how much I took a clipped curling iron for granted. The first time I tried the ISO Beauty iron I fully admit to having a hard time. I could not figure out the easiest way to use this wand, after a few burns (my finger and ear are not speaking to me at the moment) I got it down.
I obviously could not take pictures while I was using it because it does require two hands. What you do is take a section of hair and use one hand to hold the curling iron while the other hand wraps the section of hair around the iron. The heat glove is important and had I known that at first I might have saved a finger from being burned. The iron gets VERY hot and being used to using one two hands to hold onto the iron in the past it did take a little effort to get the hang of it.
I did notice the fullness and curl the iron gave to my hair. What started as straight ended up as ringlets…super pretty ringlets.
Here is a little more about the ISO Beauty Black Curling Irons:
- Ceramic and tourmaline plates to achieve the look you want while leaving your hair looking healthy, shiny, and soft.
- Infrared Technology protects hair and controls frizz.
- Dual Voltage Curling Iron for heat control
- Unique press-action curler provide longer lasting curls and easy styling.
- Unique barrel creates perfectly defined dramatic curls.
Unfortunately my hair thought it funny not to hold curl in my Florida humidity so, as you can tell, I had to comb it out and ended up with beautiful volume and curled ends.
Using the wand did take much longer than my curling iron and I have two theories as to why. First, I am new to clipless irons and secondly I think this iron is a bit big (as you can tell from the curl size) so it made the learning curve a little harder. I think a smaller barrel will work better for me personally, which is why I totally plan on getting one of their interchangeable irons down the road.
It usually takes me about 35 minutes to curl my hair and with the wand it did take me about an hour and 15 minutes (learning curve)…so I am hoping to be able to use it for the red carpet premiere of Iron Man 3 but if I don’t get better at it in the next few days timewise, it may not be an option. I love the curls it make and would really like to wear ringlets to the premiere…and at the very least if I can’t do my full head with the want maybe just the top layer and use my old iron for the underneath to save time.
Have you ever used a clipless curling iron? I would love any tips you can share so I can get the hang of it quicker.
**ISO Beauty provided the curling iron at no cost to me for sole purpose of review, all opinions are my own**

wow I need to get one of these! I’ve always failed with the typical curlers that clamp.
Looks great! I need to figure out what I’m going to do for my hair.
I love ISO Beauty products!
I hate having to use those gloves. I just learned how to do it with my flat iron and it looks awesome!
You have such pretty hair!
Oh my goodness, your hair looks awesome. I have always wanted to try straightening my hair.
Your hair is gorgeous!
I want that!! ILooks like it works great!
Bummer about getting burned- and how long it took- but it looked really pretty!! Assuming the event is in LA, they have much less humidity, it would hold up much better 🙂
