Welcome to Quotable Sunday! Today’s quotes are focused on Self-Discovery. So many people in the world today are too focus on trying to figure out what others are doing they aren’t focusing on themselves and what they should do. But first, the rules:
~ Post your quote or quotes as a post on your blog today.

Now onto my quotes:
People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But the self is not something one finds, it is something one creates. ~Thomas Szasz, “Personal Conduct,” The Second Sin, 1973
You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover is yourself. ~Alan Alda
Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will find them gradually, without noticing it, and live along some distant day into the answer. ~Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and returns home to find it. ~George Moore
If in the last few years you haven’t discarded a major opinion or acquired a new one, check your pulse. You may be dead. ~Gelett Burgess
The man who views the world at fifty the same as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life. ~Muhammad Ali
If you resist reading what you disagree with, how will you ever acquire deeper insights into what you believe? The things most worth reading are precisely those that challenge our convictions. ~Author Unknown

Great quotes again this week, Toni! They fit in with my ‘character’ ones I did today! ๐
My favorites are:
“If in the last few years you haven’t discarded a major opinion or acquired a new one, check your pulse. You may be dead.” ~Gelett Burgess
That one had me laugh out loud… ๐
And I love this one:
“If you resist reading what you disagree with, how will you ever acquire deeper insights into what you believe? The things most worth reading are precisely those that challenge our convictions.” ~Author Unknown
It is so very true! Thanks for the thought-provoking posts…have a great Sunday! ๐
Fantastic quotes Toni! I really like this one: “The man who views the world at fifty the same as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life.” ~Muhammad Ali
The man who views the world at fifty the same as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life. ~Muhammad Ali
Sooooo very true!!!!!!!!
Toni.. I LOVE your blog… found it through Stacy and I love the quotable sundays… I joined in… I hope you will stop by… I am relatively new … I am following you… would u please follow my blog? Thanks… Jenn
I really like the Mohammed Ali one. It is so true. My guy always says… “Guys don’t change, guys stay the same.”.. I always knew this line was BS, because I watch them all change, and not because they are forced to.. because they desire the change.
Good quotes this week Toni!
I love the quote about being “patient toward all that is unsolved”. It’s so easy to get caught up in what we don’t know that we lose sight of what’s right in front of us. ๐ Happy Sunday!
Great quotes today!!
I finally got mine up.
