Welcome to the last Quotable Sunday…..of 2008 LOL. I hope you are all enjoying quotable Sunday as much as I am. As always a few rules for anyone that is new on how to participate.
~Post a quote post on YOUR blog, one or a lot of quotes, whichever you like.
~Come back here and link to your post in Mister Linky.
~Check back and check out other peoples posts. I will check everyones out and of course comment when i get off from work.
Today’s quotes for me focus on kindness. With the holidays I think kindness is on the fore front of everyones mind and so it should be, however it should be thought about all the time not just on special occasions. So here are some kindness quotes I love:
If you haven’t any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble. ~Bob Hope
That would be the worst way to live, it would be miserable.
A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble. ~Charles H. Spurgeon
It will be much better to be remembered for good things after your gone than remembered for bad things while living and forgotten when gone.
It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice. ~Author Unknown
I know people who try so hard to be important but they are not nice or they stop being nice when they get important, its so sad really.
Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you – not because they are nice, but because you are. ~Author Unknown
What a wonderful quote, I have been living by this a lot lately. Even to those who have hurt me I have been being kind to it’s the best way to live really.
Don’t wait for people to be friendly, show them how. ~Author Unknown
If you can show someone how to be a friendly even when they seem to not know how then you have accomplished a big thing my friend.
By swallowing evil words unsaid, no one has ever harmed his stomach. ~Winston Churchill
The kindest word in all the world is the unkind word, unsaid. ~Author Unknown
How true! I have learned this the hard way, I have said unkind things to people in the past and it did absolutely nothing to make me feel better so now when I want to say unkind things, I just try to think about the good things in the situation or in the person and push the unkind words right out of my mind. It’s making me a happier person as well.
