Movie night has now become less messy. My family loves a good movie night, weekend movie marathon, or a me moment of movie time while kids are at school. Being the movie buff that I am it has to be with all the trimmings. Trimmings = Popcorn. Usually when I pop the popcorn it’s a bit messy in one of two ways. Either A) it’s eaten out of the bag as to not dirty a dish and we get butter hand syndrome or B) there is a dirty bowl (or five). For us it usually ends up being the latter.
Not anymore, thanks to Orville Redenbacher’s PopUp Popcorn Bowls we get the yummy without the mess. Now these aren’t available just yet (let the awww man commence) BUT come February 20th, you too can get your hands on the new it thing in popcorn. Just head to your local Walmart to pick up your sanity saving snack.
For my test of the newest addition to the Redenbacher family I grabbed the Twilight movie (shh I have a little addiction to sparkly vampires). I enjoyed a movie day to myself (those don’t happen often with 3 kids, my movie gets veto’d often). I sat with my PopUp Popcorn Bowl on the end table and enjoyed the quite moment of me time. I loved that the popcorn bag was the bowl and it sat upright wonderfully on it’s own.
Ease of preparation was very simple:
I will note that it did seem like there was not as much popcorn as in a non popup bowl but there was still enough. My thoughts on the new PopUp Popcorn bowls are they are perfect for “me time” or family movie night. Yummy popcorn, very little butter hands and no more dirty bowls. It’s definitely a win/win situation. So get ready to get your hands on some February 20 when they show up in Walmart.
*I was given the popcorn as well as compensated by Collective Bias for my time, as always thoughts are my own.
