Cheer On Your Knight At Medieval Times {Travel}

Medieval Times Orlando Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take a step back in time to an era where kings ruled and knights fought to be the victor. Wonder no more, take a trip to Medieval Times in Orlando and see the exciting tournament as knight vs. knight in live battles.

My husband and I had the received complimentary tickets to Medieval Times while we were on our anniversary trip. We arrived to the location and got our tickets, then went through the medieval village. A walk through this village shows what it would have been like to live during the time the show is supposed to be set in. It was really neat to walk through and see everything from furniture to clothing and everything in between. They even have a “torture chamber” where you can see several torture devices that were used during this historical time. That part bothered me quite a bit so I’d definitely not take the kids to that area when I bring them back. The rest of the village was very interesting. Here are a few of the sights from the village.

Medieval Times 2

After our walk through we headed inside to the bar while we waited and each got a drink in a souvenir cup. Of course we had to sport our crowns…we wanted everyone to know who the king and queen were. After enjoying some sweet moments with the man I love it was time to head into the arena. We decided to upgrade out tickets to the King’s royalty package. I wanted the best seats and photos to remember the night by. We headed in and were seated and our waitress got started right away taking our drink orders and giving us a rundown of how the eating went.

Medieval Time Menu

I noted the plates…and no utensils. Luckily I had been to a show before where there were no utensils so I was not caught off guard. I don’t mind eating with my hands, especially with the yummy menu. We had tomato bisque soup, garlic bread, oven roasted chicken, herb potato, spare ribs, the castle dessert and of course unlimited soda (or in my case, water). The food was very very good. I distinctly remember the chicken and soup as my favorite part.

Medieval Times 4

As we ate, we watched (on the edge of our seat quite a few times) as the knights dueled. We saw ring races, live jousting, as well as many other competitions between the knights. Each section has a knight to cheer on and hopefully your knight is the victor (we cheered on the black and white knight). We also got to see Falconry, which was the most beautiful experience in my opinion. To watch this very talented beautiful bird, fly, swoop and almost graze our heads at super speeds had me in awe. It has also sparked an idea in my husband that he wants to own a falcon.

In the end, our knight did not win, but that was not for lack of trying. He gave a good fight and we had a blast cheering him on. If you are in the Orlando area head to Medieval Times. This is a wonderful show that will have kids and adults alike laughing and cheering on the knights. Rates are as follows: children 12 & under are $35.95 (plus tax & processing fee) and adults are $59.95 (plus tax & processing fee). Add ons such as Kings Royalty, Royalty Package, or Celebration package are available to make your experience even more memorable than it will already be.

Medieval Times 3

We will definitely be going back and taking our kids because I know they will love the show and have a blast. Have you ever been to Medieval Times??

**I was provided 2 complimentary regular tickets (paid for the Kings upgrade myself). Opinions and experience are my own and honest**
