Living on the sunny coast of Florida you can imagine the time we spend at the beach during the warm months. As someone who grew up here I know the importance of wearing shades when the sun is bearing down. I just wish I had known the importance it would make later in life to my skin (ugh fine lines and wrinkles). I want to make sure my kids eyes and skin are protected and using sunscreen is a big important step of that. However, you can’t use sunscreen too close to the eyes or you risk sweating it off and it running into your eyes…and trust me when I say….IT BURNS!!
Rather than put my kids through that, I apply the sunscreen like normal but give them some sun shades of their own to protect their eyes and of course the sensitive skin around it. Unfortunately, in the past protecting my kids came in the form of not so fashionable choices. Thanks to Real Kids Shades I have been able to keep them looking pretty hip while making sure their skin and eyes are protected. When we received two pair of glasses to review my kids were thrilled.
The boy got the Xtreme Sport shades:
I couldn’t get a photo of him in them but he looks super cool and I love that they come with an attachment so he could wear them during soccer if need be. Check out a little bit more about the Xtreme Gear Convertible shades:
- 100% UV protection (UVA & UVB) to 400 nanometers clearly indicated on each individual package
- Professional grade polycarbonate frames
- Shatterproof and Impact Resistant
- Comfortable foam padding
- Convert from bands to temples and back again with ease
- Wrap style design for a close fit that minimizes peripheral light
The girl got the Fabulous Shades, and that’s exactly what they are…Fabulous. She sports them like a true little diva and can be like mommy with the “big” glasses:
- 100% UV protection (UVA & UVB) to 400 nanometers clearly indicated on each individual package
- Fashion Forward
- Professional grade polycarbonate frames and lenses
- Shatterproof and Impact Resistant
- Wrap style design for a close, comfortable fit that minimizes peripheral light
- Waterproof Rustproof
I love that they are cute, comfy and stylish, so weather we are headed to the beach or a day on the town they can make sure they look great, be comfortable, and most importantly keep their eyes and skin safe. Thanks to Real Kids Shades my kids are set for summer….and looking pretty cool if I do say so myself!
