It’s OK …

  • to not want to post everyday on your blog and it not bother you.
  • to feel like you suck at parenting sometimes.
  • to want to run away from all your problems.
  • to not want to get out of your pajamas all day.
  • to not like everyone
  • to not please everyone.
  • to like someone one of your friends doesn’t, you are your own person.
  • to crush on non fictional characters, well as long as you don’t take it to a level where you begin to think fiction is reality.
  • to want more children and at the same time be so thankful you can’t have more.
  • to stay in bed, bundled under the covers all day sometimes.
  • to be strong and voice your beliefs, no one has to believe them but you don’t have to hide them.
  • to lose old friends and gain new ones, sometimes that is the best thing.
  • to get annoyed and never want to tweet again.
  • to feel sexy and show it, well in a tactful way that is ๐Ÿ™‚
  • to love reality t.v. even though you know it’s so edited it probably should be called a t.v. drama (Go Jeff, Use the coup d’ etat , put up Jessie and Natalie, that would be a soap opera all on it’s own, and damn I have to work)
  • to not want to be involved in stupid crap and not waste your time on stupid people
  • to go into work annoyed because you are missing #GNO on Twitter.
  • to not enjoy cooking and complain all the way through and then give yourself awesome props because the meal rocks.
  • to toot your own horn, we should be our biggest fans you know.
  • to know that your ex’s missed out and it was their loss.
  • to cry, just because.
  • to want to watch a movie like Bring It On and still like it at 30 years old.
  • to exude confidence.
  • to go to the movies and eat a whole bucket of popcorn, nachos and chocolate peanuts with a large coke all by yourself.
  • to roll your eyes at your husband when he tells you that your taste in movies sucks because you don’t like Napoleon Dynamite.
  • to think someone you work with is an idiot.
  • spoil your kids (and yourself for that matter)
  • to not be the center of attention all the time, if you feel like you have to be… there is a name for that.
  • to think MEAN PEOPLE SUCK.
  • to want to spend a few extra minutes of time with your kids even if it makes you few minutes late for work.
Now it’s your turn, I want you to share your “It’s OK” things ๐Ÿ™‚ Leave them in the comments and remember…

It's ok to be yourself and not care what anyone wants to say about me. It's ok to know your family will always be there, no matter what your facing.

It's okay, on the days you'd rather not get out of bed, to go to work without washing your hair or putting on makeup (just don't look in the mirror).

It's okay to miss your mom, and wish she could take over, when you feel like you suck as a parent.

It's okay to read a trashy book instead of the "educational" read you got out of the library…

I could go on, and on, and on…

    great post!

Toni your list covered so many wonderful points!

It is okay to chose to not wear make-up, some of us just do not like it.

It is okay to be addicted to cheese puffs, there are worse things.

It is okay to just be yourself and it is okay to take time to do absolutely nothing.

Clearly I could go on, but I shall stop. ๐Ÿ˜‰

…to give your toddler finger foods because you don't want to deal with giving her a spoon.
…to ignore people you know aren't genuine.
…to not want to share your family vacation with another family, even if you are off the same week.
…to watch Dora with the kids before bed sometimes rather than reading.

Guess I should stop now. Awesome post!

    * It's okay to want your kids to get a better education than you did and make more money than you do.

*It's okay to want a friend just to talk to sometimes.

*It's okay to wish for a diamond ring from your significant other.

*It's okay to take a day off from work when it snowed too much the night before and you "can't make it in."

I love you Toni- you are so real and transparent!

It is ok to buy bigger jeans because you haven't lost the weight yet…

It is ok to get irritated when someone cuts you off in traffic

It is ok to nod and hmm, hmm at your child when they are reciting the entire version of a movie event though you aren't really listening to a word they are saying..

    Adrian's Crazy Life

These are brilliant and so many of them completely apply to me. Here are some of mine:

It's OK to be bored and goof off at work sometimes.
It's OK to tell your kids to shut up because your ears are bleeding from their incessant talking!
It's OK to have a Happy Meal night sometimes (a Happy Meal is anything in the kitchen that makes you happy!)
It's OK to nap – sometimes it's just a necessity.
It's OK to fight with your friends once in a while. If they are really your friends, they will value the relationship enough to come back afterwards.
It's OK to pull your kids up short if they are being disrespectful. I will NEVER let a child of mine call me names or speak rudely to me, I don't care how mad they are.
It's OK to turn your kids into reality show junkies. Then you've got someone to watch them with.
It's OK to take a mental health day from work as long as you don't do it too often.

I think I may need to have an It's OK post on my blog too. This is a great idea.

Its OK to keep your foot up after you got a shot in it to avoid surgery while everyone else is busy moving your stuff.
