and I am as stoked about it as he will be when he gets it. What is this present you ask??? Why it is the 3rd generation iPod nano, this little beauty:
The silver one in front to be exact. It’s a 4GB so it should hold plenty of NKOTB and High School Musical songs. *on a side note, we went to see HS3 today and it was quite good, I shall post my review about it in a few days*.
Let me tell you a bit about my son Gabriel, he loves music and is always stealing my iPhone so he can listen to my songs. Well that’s fine and dandy but I knew we were encountering trouble when he asked if he could have an iPhone for his birthday in 2 weeks. Ummm, what?? Okay wait rewind…you can barely take care of a playstation controller and you want an iPhone…I do not think so little man! So we decided the iPod would be the next best thing. After all he doesn’t need to be calling and texting people on a cell phone so no sense in getting him the iPhone (as if I was actually considering it)
Now the big thing about this is how he takes care of this iPod will really determine how much of a social life he will have soon he will be able to get a cell phone. If there is so much as one scratch on this he can kiss cell phone hope goodbye until he is out of college and has a job that pays more than $75,000 a year. So no pressure right!
Now I just have to be strong and not give it to him until his birthday. I am one of those moms that is so excited about a gift that I want to give it right away. The only thing holding me back is I need to get a little skin and carrying case for it as well as an itunes card so he can buy his own songs, he of course will take some of my songs I am sure as well.
Oh and the best part is I had like $70.00 in Amazon gift cards so we only had to pay $40. That is less than the 1GB shuffle we were planning on getting him and he will be able to see his songs. Ahh the next 2 weeks need to go by fast!!!
